"Bina no phones at the table."

I looked up as dad put the lasagna on the table, then looked at mum who was also on her phone.

"Allie, darling..."

"Huh?"

"Phone."

"What?"

"Your phone, my love."

I smiled.

They seemed better after mum told him the truth about who she had been meeting up with.

Mum held up a finger to shut dad up while continuing to write on her phone.

"Marco has discovered the memes." She said. "He keeps sending them to me."

Dad walked to the back of her chair and snatched the phone from her hands before writing something on it.

"There... just told Marco that now is family time and that we—" dad sighed and looked at me. "...Bina what did I say about that phone?"

"That they aren't allowed at the dinner table." I said and held up a hand. "But... I'm actually writing James right now because he's being a son of a bitch who loves pushing the fact in my face that he's dating Hannah fucking Grace."

"And you can text James about being a son of a bitch after dinner." Dad walked over, then snatched the phone from my hands.

He put me and my mum's phones on the side table next to the door, then stuck his head out into the foyer.

"Alec!" He called. "Don't make me call for you a third time!"

Dad tapped his fingers against the doorframe before he walked over to take his usual seat.

Mum looked at dad with her eyebrows raised, leaned back in her chair, one thigh resting over the other, an arm placed against the left arm rest.

"What?" Dad asked, cocking an eyebrow at her.

"Nothing." She shrugged, pressing her lips together for a moment while I picked up my glass of orange juice to take a sip. "You just look really hot right now."

My eyes widened as I choked on the juice before ending up in a fit of coughs.

"Oh my god." I coughed. "I am right here. I am sitting right here."

"Adults have sexual relationships too, darling."

"Mum!" I whined, hiding my face in my hands.
"No one were talking about sex!"

"You're right." Mum nodded. "I was thinking it. You see, Bree... your dad and I—"

Instantly I covered my ears while starting to sing a melody, seeing the way my parents both started laughing at my reaction.

After a moment, I stopped and held out my hand, summoning my phone which only made dad sigh while mum snorted with laughter.

"She got you there, my love."

I looked down at my phone to see the most recent message.

"Uncle Marco just sent me a meme."

"Of course he did." Mum sighed. "The man discovers something new and acts like a child at Christmas."

"Sabrina."

I instantly looked at dad, knowing that he was being serious when he used my name.

"Fine." I groaned as I saw the way he held out his hand. I placed my phone in it and instead of placing it with mum's phone, he pushed it into he placed it next to his plate.
