Sabrina

I sat behind the tower in one of the courtyards, hidden away from everyone as I smoked a cigarette all by myself.

It was October and it was getting colder outside so I was wearing my coat.

Adriana was still pissed at me for whatever reason, so it had definitely been a great start of our last year here at Hogwarts.

"Do you need company?"

I looked up at the person who spoke and I almost choked on the smoke I had just inhaled.

Hannah was standing there, leaning against the wall and she had never looked as hot as she currently did.

"I don't, but if you do, go find James." I responded and she decided to ignore that as she sat down next to me.

"I'm not out..." she said. "...my parents wouldn't support it."

"This kinda feels like a conversation we've had before."

Hannah sighed and turned her head to look at me.

"They don't even support the whole witch thing."

"You can't quite compare being gay to being a witch."

"No, that's not..." she shook her head. "...I'm not gay."

"Okay." I said. "But I don't really care what you are. I know that you're a bitch. You told me you had broken up with James, then it turns out you got back together."

Hannah sighed and leaned her head back against the wall.

"I really like you." She said. "But I also like James."

"You can't like two people... especially when they're related."

"Oh yeah? I can't like two people? Why don't you take a look at yourself, Sabrina? I know you're in love with me and fucking Barracus at the same time."

I scoffed.

"The difference there is that the thing between Naomi and I is strictly sexual." I said. "And I'm honest with her. She knows I like you. You can't quite compare the situations."

I took a puff of my cigarette as I looked at her.

I wanted to kiss her... I wanted her to kiss me but she was dating James so it was wrong.

I didn't want to support cheating.

Hannah turned her head to look at me as well, our eyes meeting before her eyes dropped to my lips.

"Don't do that." I said quietly. "You've got a boyfriend."

"And you're way more interesting than he is."

"Well, I could've told you that."

She chuckled and at the same time, I saw my uncle make his way towards us with a tired expression.

I moved away from Hannah who frowned before she looked towards my uncle as well.

"I should probably... yeah." She breathed and got to her feet. "I'll see you later."

She walked away and my uncle stopped a few feet away from me, folding his arms over his chest.

"What happened to the roof?" He asked. "You know you can't sit out here and smoke."

I shrugged.

"You smoke out here."

My uncle raised his eyebrows at my comment, then nodded.

"Yeah you're right." He said. "But... you're not a teacher, are you?"

"Well, I know that teachers aren't allowed to smoke on school grounds either." I said and took another puff of my cigarette.

"Sabrina..." he narrowed his eyes at me. "...well played. You're supposed to be in potions in ten minutes and I don't want you to be late again."

With a sigh, I extinguished my cigarette on the ground, then stood up. I pulled out my pack and put the cigarette in there before I shoved the pack back into my pocket.

"I can't be late if you are." I shrugged, walking past him. I turned around the corner and made my way inside.

I got my stuff from my dorm, then made my way to the dungeons.

I managed to be late but my uncle wasn't even here yet.

I looked around.

Adriana sat with Theo, Hannah sat with James so I decided to just join Theo and Adriana at the table they sat at, placing myself next to my cousin.

"Got lost again?" Theo grinned at me, referring to my excuse last time I was late to class. "Didn't you choose to have ten NEWTs so you couldn't get a shot at most careers out there?"

"Yeah... why?"

"If you continue being late, you'll miss out on something and maybe then you won't be able to get top grades in the subjects and then there'll be less job opportunities."

"Oh piss off. I'm never late more than ten minutes." I said.

I looked at Adriana who was staring down at her book. She seemed distant.

"Well... my dad seems to be late as well." Theo said, and I looked at him.

"Yeah... I met him in the courtyard fifteen minutes ago or so. He tried to act like he'd never smoked on school grounds."

"Well that's a lie. Last week, I caught him smoking weed once his shift was over and he paid me ten galleons to not tell my dad."

"Weed? I didn't expect him to be the kind of person to do drugs." I said just as the door to the classroom opened and Uncle Marco entered.

"Sorry I'm late. Open your books."

I sat throughout class, being partnered with a guy from Hufflepuff and when we finally got dismissed,

It was noon and lunch was being served and then after lunch, we had another lesson of potions.

I walked next to Theo, Adriana on his other side when Naomi came up next to me, wrapping an arm around my neck.

"Bathroom?" She whispered.

"Get lost, Barracus." Theo said. "Sabrina doesn't want to fuck your so turn around and get lost."

"I'm sure Sabrina can speak for herself." Naomi said.

"Oh, I can speak for myself." I laughed, glaring at Theo before I looked at Naomi. "Do you have any classes today?"

"Not anymore. I had in my first lesson but I'm free for the rest of the day."

"Okay." I smiled. "I can meet you at two?"

"Excellent." She grinned. "I'll see you at two."

She winked at me as she turned to walk the other way, and I looked at Theo.

"Will you stop acting like such a fucking prick?!" I asked. "I don't care if you like her or not but you don't treat other people like they're trash."

Theo scoffed in response.

"Why don't you ask her about her parents and see if I'm right or not?" He asked. "Would you really like to be seen with a murderer?"

I rolled my eyes and shoved him with my shoulder.

"I'm not gonna walk up to her and ask her about her deceased parents." I said. "Are you out of your mind?"

Theo shrugged.

"I'm telling you... she's not right in the head."
