Mum didn't get home until after I had fallen asleep that night.

The next morning, I entered the kitchen to see mum sitting with her breakfast, looking at her phone, but as she noticed me walk in, she looked up and a smile spread across her face.

She put her phone down and got up, pulling me in for a hug.

"I've missed you too much." She sighed. "I've needed your brain at the newspaper."

She pulled back to look at me, then gestured for me to sit.

I caught her up on everything at Hogwarts, mostly about Quidditch. I left out a few details concerning Naomi, Hannah, Theo and Adriana, but other than that, I told her everything.

I loved conversations like this with my mum. Where she'd just put her work away for a few hours to spend time with me.

My mum was very obsessed with her work, but she always managed to put family first.

In most situations.

Sometimes there was a meeting that she couldn't miss, but I understood.

As we were talking, dad entered the room.

"Bina, Adriana is at the door for you." He said, causing me to look at him.

"She is?"

"She says it's urgent."

"Oh..."

I got up and left the room, walking into the foyer where Adriana stood.

She had her arms wrapped around herself, her eyes full of tears.

"Adri, you—"

"You told your dad?" She asked, her voice all weak. "I told you to keep it to yourself."

"I—"

"You know who showed up to my house a few hours ago? The ministry." She said. "They might take me away from my dad."

I didn't know what to say. I didn't want her to hate me but I'd rather she was safe.

"Adri, your father keeps harming you. You can't—"

"No he isn't!" She yelled. "He once accidentally elbowed me in the face which caused a black eye which was something we ended up laughing about after and you just assumed that he was violent! I don't know what it is, but you and your family has it in for my father!"

She was crying and as she went to wipe her tears away, the tears as well as her wiping, caused her makeup to be wiped away, revealing a black eye.

"Adri—" I took a step back. "...if your father isn't the one hurting you, who is?"

"It's Theo!" She yelled, then gasped and covered her mouth as she realised what she said.

"What?"

My voice broke.

"Oh fuck." She cried. "I didn't mean that. Forget I said anything. I should go..."

"I'm gonna kill him."

"No, Sabrina—"

"I'm going to fucking kill him." I laughed before I sprinted up the stairs and into my room to find my wand.

The second I found it, I apparated to outside my uncles house.

I kept knocking on the door until someone opened it and I didn't even see who it was before I ran inside and up the stairs, barging into Theo's room.

He was asleep, but woke up as I barged.

He didn't get to react before I pointed my wand at him, sending him flying off the bed, his body hitting the wall.

"What the hell!" He yelled, laying on the floor against the wall, his eyes landing on me, and when he saw my look, realisation hit him. "I don't know what that bitch told you—"

"Get up." I told him, throwing my wand on the ground.

"What's going on?!" Kyla shouted as she marched across the hallway to Theo's room. "Sabrina what are you doing? It's eleven o'clock."

I ignored her and stared right at Theo.

"I swear to god, get the fuck up!" I yelled at him, and he slowly did. "I'm gonna kill you."

"Sabrina—"

"How could you do that?!" I yelled. "What kind of person are you?!"

He walked towards me.

"Don't fucking listen to her! She's manipulative! She's been threatening to—"

I punched him in the face and he let out a grunt at the contact, stumbling back.

"Sabrina!" I heard my uncle Will shout as he entered the room.

He stepped into the room.

"Get out." He said, pointing towards the door. "Go home."

I kept staring at Theo who stared up at me from where he leaned on his bed, rubbing his jaw.

"Why don't you tell your dad what's been going on? What you've been doing to Adriana for way longer than it should've..."

Will looked back at him.

"I don't know what she's talking about." He said. "Adriana's probably manipulated the shit out of her."

"You fucking arsehole!" I screamed and went to jump at him when he got to his feet, but my uncle held me back. "How could you do that to her?!"

He didn't answer.

"All this time, I thought it was her father! You convinced me to let it go because as long as she was at Hogwarts, she'd be safe from him!" I yelled. "And all this time, you've been fucking abusing her!"

That made my uncle pause, before he looked back at his son again.

"Alright don't listen to her!" He laughed, gesturing towards me. "Dad, I never did anything to Adriana. Adriana is the one who's been hitting me. She's been manipulating with everyone to make me seem like the bad guy."

I was speechless.

My own cousin whom was my best friend, was acting like this completely different person.

Here he was, trying to manipulate his own father after failing to manipulate me. Trying to turn us against Adriana who was the real victim here.

He wasn't right in the head.

"What does Sabrina mean by abusing?" My uncle asked. "What did you do to that girl, Theodore?"

"I-I didn't do shit!"

My uncle now turned to me for answers.

"What did he do?"

"Adriana has a black eye right now." I said, trying to calm myself down. "I thought it was her father but she had this bruise on her arm at school and she hasn't seen her dad for months. Theo's been hurting her."

"She's lying!"

"Theodore!" My uncle yelled, making the room go silent. "Have you been laying a hand on Adriana? Yes or no."

"Dad... no of course not."

"Do not lie to me right now. I know you better than you think I do." He said. "Did you or did you not hurt her?"

Theodore sighed and looked at me, then at his dad again.

"I didn't mean to!" He tried to argue his case. "It's her own fault for always wanting to argue."

My uncle sighed and brought a hand up to his face.

This was obviously not the response he wanted.

"Sabrina, go home." My uncle told me. "Marco and I will be taking over from now on. Go tell Adriana he won't bother her anymore."

I nodded, then looked at Theo.

"Fuck you." I spat. "You're a fucking psychopath."
