"Merlin Harry, stop sayin' his name!"

"Now where migh' Miss Potter be?" Hagrid asked Mister Rose in an extremely thick accent.

"No clue," said Mister Rose without a care in the world. I sighed, approaching the giant from behind.

"I'm right here sir," I said, my voice void of emotion. Hagrid made an almost invisible flinch before turning around to face me. I chuckled; finding it funny how I scared a half-giant.

"Oh—heh, gave me o small scare Miss," said the half-giant with a chuckle. His beard lightly shook while he laughed, reminding me of the muggle character Santa. "Have you already met yer brother Harry over yonder?" My gaze followed his arm towards the little boy I saw earlier, sitting upon his motorbike. I shook my head, not quite intrigued by meeting him.

"Alrighty then, ye go introduce yerself while I grab yer luggage here, got it?" He smiled down at me and I nodded, not making direct eye contact. The man was quite intimidating...

I slowly trudged towards my brother, letting out a noticeable groan while doing so. Merlin, how I wish I could've been an only child forever... When I reached him, I noticed how different we looked; this caught me quite off guard. He seemed to have also spotted this difference.

Harry had short, extremely messy jet black hair with no freckles. The only thing we had in common were our mom's emerald green eyes. "You're—you're my sister?" He asked with a small quiver of nervousness in his voice. He stared at me for a good while, taking in every detail. The look of curiosity and excitement all over him.

I nodded, rubbing the back of my neck. "Er—yeah, I am," I said, confused on why he'd think differently. I mean, after all, wasn't that reason he was here? A smile immediately spread across the boys' face and he engulfed me into an air-snatching hug. I wasn't used to affection, therefore my first reaction was to push him off—maybe a bit more rough than intended... okay okay, a lot rougher than intended.

"Sorry, I don't do hugs," I said after successfully getting him off of me. He chuckled and shrugged.

"It's no problem, I was just super excited to have met you... this whole being a wizard thing is all new to me..."

I nodded, understanding where he was coming from. "Yeah—I uh— get that," I replied, stumbling over my words. Merlin, why am I being so awkward? I guess this is what happens when you never speak to people your age. I prayed for Hagrid to come and save me from this humiliation.

Harry nodded, and after a few moments of silence, he decided to try and break it. "So uh—,"

"Don't even try," I chuckled. "Obviously neither of us are good with conversations," I said, causing us both to laugh.

"You got that one right... I've never really been around kids my age other than my—our cousin Dudley."

My eyes widened and I let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank Merlin," I said. "I thought I'd be the only one! The Rose's never let me meet anyone other than their niece Selina, and she's so annoying." Harry was about to answer me, but was interrupted by Hagrid.

"Alrighty, we're all ready ter ge' goin... Ava, yeh ever been teh The Leaky Cauldron?"

I furrowed my brows. The Leaky what? I've never heard of that in my life. "No," I said, shaking my head.

"Blimey, no?" Hagrid seemed quite confused for a moment, but soon shook it off. "Well, that's where we're headed. Gonn' spend o night er two there, alright?" Harry and I nodded, hopping into the passenger seats of the motorbike. "Hold on tight," he warned before taking off into the night sky.

The ride was quite long, and when we finally arrived, it was past midnight. Hagrid flew over a deserted alleyway and began slowing his bike. "Uh—Hagrid, where are we?" Harry asked once we'd safely landed.

"We're o couple eh blocks from our destination... needed teh park somewhere no muggles would find us." He hopped off his bike and released a great sigh.

"Now come an' follow me,"

"So, you also have the scar?" Harry asked while we trailed behind Hagrid.

"Oh—uh, yeah," I replied, brushing my hair from my shoulder in order to show him. I turned my neck, allowing him to get a clear view of the lightening bolt shaped scar on the side of my neck. I was never proud of it, and was a bit relieved knowing he had the same one... at least I wasn't alone. A smile spread onto his face, making me wonder if he actually knew the history of what the scar meant. No one should be this happy knowing they almost died...

"Why do you look so uneasy?" He asked after seeing my expression. I wasn't exactly smiling—though I never do.

"Do you know how we got these scars, Harry?" I asked him, my voice peaking. He furrowed his brows and shook his head, making me sigh. I didn't feel like explaining the story, but leaving him in the dark would've been cruel. "This Harry, is a mark only a curse can give. An extremely evil curse," I began.

"What do you mean?"

"Our parents were murdered at the hands of the most evil wizard out there... You-know-who."

Harry stared at me, his face void of expression.

"Who?"

I groaned, not wanting to say his name. "Don't make me say his name!"

"Sorry, but I haven't the foggiest on who you're talking about."

"It was Voldemort," I said both quickly and quietly. I didn't know why saying his name made me uneasy, so I tried to avoid it at all costs. Sadly, this time it was unavoidable. Merlin knows what would happen if the wrong wizard overheard us...

"Voldemort?" Harry repeated, quite loudly.

"Harry, shut it!" I snapped. Merlin, this boy is stupid. "Those were dark times Harry, we can't just go around shouting his name!" He murmured an apology. "Anyways," I continued, "he tried to kill us, but somehow he failed. This curse; the killing curse—it has killed everything and everyone... except for us. That's why we're famous... for we didn't die!

We're the twins who lived..."

Merlin, I hated that title. Is it that bad to not want attention? To just want parents and have a normal life?

"You mean, Voldemort tried to kill me—us?" He asked.

"Yes he did,"

"And is Voldemort still around?"

"No clue... something happened that night he tried to kill us... some say he's dead, while others say he's in hiding, waiting for the right moment to reappear."

"Do you think Voldemort's gone forever?"

"Well, I find it hard to believe that two babies defeated the most powerful dark wizard in the world by just... sitting there," I said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Voldemort was the most powerful wizard in history?"

"The most powerful dark wizard, Albus Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in history.

"Well if Dumbledore is more powerful than Voldemort—,"

"Merlin Harry, stop sayin' his name!" Hagrid seemed extremely agitated.

"Right, sorry," said Harry. Both Hagrid and me sighed.

"It's alrigh', those were jus' sad times no'one likes to talk about... but enough o the sad talkn', we've arrived!
