Petty arguments

"I knew you'd agree with me one day."

"Finally decided to wake up, eh?"

I walked out of my dorm, rubbing my eyes. As I focused my vision ahead, I saw Draco leaning against one of our many couches, a wide smirk spread across his face. His voice was slightly raspy from the cold weather.

I shrugged. "It's the weekend, and for once I have no one here to bother me."

"Don't we have a Transfiguration test coming up that we need to study for?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"It's not like you're gonna be studying over break, yeah? I could care less right now."

He chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm not studying either."

The both of us walked to the Great Hall together. When we entered, I saw Harry begin to approach but once he saw Draco, he scowled and turned around.

I looked towards Draco, slightly confused. "Well, that was odd. You know what that was about?"

Draco scoffed. "No; and even if I did, I frankly don't care."

"I'll be right back," I said and Draco grabbed my arm with a groan.

"Don't leave," he complained like a child. "Then I'll have no one to talk to!"

"Stop acting like a five year old, Draco," I laughed. "Plus, you have Crabbe and Goyle to chat with."

"I don't want to talk with them!" He said defiantly, crossing his arms over his chest.

I sighed. "I won't be more than five minutes,"

"Fine," he gave in and I smiled, heading over to Harry.

"Hey bro," I said once he reached him. To my suprise, he didn't answer so I assumed he didn't hear.

"Harry, hello?"

Silence.

"Hey, are you ignoring me?"

Still silent.

I sighed and took the seat beside him. He turned away from me and looked in the opposing direction. "Did I do something wrong?"

"Did you — did you do something wrong?" He finally cracked, acting as if I should know. "You've been all cozy with Malfoy, that's what's wrong!"

I clenched my jaw. "Seriously, this again?"

"Yes! I was going to tell you something important, but now I don't even know if I can trust you!"

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. "I'm sorry if you don't approve of my friends because you have a rivalry, but that's not going to stop me!"

"It's not just a rivalry Ava, his family is bad news! You can't hang out with people like that!"

A dry laugh escaped my mouth. "Fine then. What's so important that you have to get this pissed because I'm talking to Malfoy,"

"Forget it," he mumbled. "Clearly I can't trust you!"

"Fine," I said flatly. "Don't tell me, but if it's anything against my friends, you're really in for it. I don't feel like having a petty argument with you."
