"You're lucky I don't know any jinxes,"
There were three four-poster beds, each with emerald green drapes and matching blankets. Each bed also had someone's luggage by the side. I wonder who the third bed was for... I guess we'll find out.
"This seems cozy," I said while dropping onto my bed, sighing in comfort.
"Yeah," Leah replied. "We should unpack."
I nodded, unzipping my luggage. On the nightstand adjacent to my bed was Mavy in her cage, hooting quite loud.
"Don't worry Mavy," I said in an attempt to calm the distressed Owl. "You can go to the Owlery tomorrow, alright?"
Soon after, the door to our dorm swung open, and our third mate walked in. She stared stiffly ast us, before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door.
"Lovely girl," I said, earning a chuckle from Leah.
"That's just Pansy. She hated everyone."
The both of us settled into our beds and began discussing how we think our first days will go. After about thirty minutes the girl (who's face strongly resembled a pug), emerged from the bathroom and plopped on her bed, completely ignoring us.
"I can't wait for tomorrow," I continued through a yawn.
She nodded. "What classes are you looking forward to most? Personally, I'm excited for charms and transfiguration."
"I dunno," I said, thinking. "I always loved potions, but transfiguration does sound quite interesting..."
The both of us talked for a few more minutes until inevitably deciding on heading to bed. I can't wait for tomorrow... who knows what new adventures will blossom?

The next morning, I'd the pleasure of waking up to the blaring of an obnoxious alarm.
"Will someone PLEASE turn that off!" I heard Leah yell from across the room. I groaned and covered my ears, not wanting to wake up... maybe if I just pretend I'm still sleeping—,"
"Ava, turn off the damn alarm!"
Never mind. I guess I have to get up. I rolled over and slammed my hand on the alarm, making that horrid noise dissipate.
"You're a lifesaver Ava!"
"Yeah, yeah," I mumbled, rubbing my eyes; for I was still half asleep. The other girl (who's name reminds me of a flower), was still fast asleep, snoring quite loudly.
"We need to get moving." Leah stared distastefully at the sleeping girl. "Can't be late on our first day..."
—
Pansy was zooming towards Sam, Leah and I at full speed, yelling in her high-pitched squeaky voice. It was quite laughable if I'm honest.
"Damn," I said standing up from the Ravenclaw table. "Someone needs to put their pug on a leash."
Sam didn't bother hiding her laughter meanwhile Leah just raised her brows. "What did you say?" Pug-face (my new nickname for her) screeched.
I shrugged, fighting back my own chuckles. "Well, your face resembles a pug, you know... the same white face, black beady eyes, big nose, fat round face —,"
"How—how DARE you!" She yelled, pointing her finger at me. "If it wasn't for that filthy scar on your neck, I'd assume you to be another Weasley. With your red hair and freckles, you barely even resemble a Potter!"
Before I could respond, or more so attack the girl, Zabini interjected. "Hey Parkinson! Calm down!"
At least he has enough respect for me. "You better listen to him, Parkinson," I added with a dangerous smirk.
