"Ava, I've done a horrible thing!"

Kill... must kill... BLOOD...

-

"Did you hear what happened to Collin Creevey?"

"Is it true that he was killed?"

"I don't think he's dead, I think he's just been petrified."

"If the chamber is actually opened, more muggle borns will be targeted next..."

I perked my ears as I walked into breakfast the next morning, listening to a group of first year Gryffindors gossip about their fellow friend. Another victim had been petrified, but this time it was an actual person. And not just anyone, it was a muggle born...

"Who do you think will be targeted next?" Blaise asked once we reached the safety of the Slytherin table.

I shrugged. "I don't think the question should me who will be attacked next, rather who is doing the attacking."

Leah loaded her plate with two omelets and nodded in agreement. "Do you think you-know-who is behind all this?" She asked.

"Who knows. With Harry refusing to talk to me, any information he's finding out is all a gray area to me."

Blaise scoffed. "He's still ignoring you? Shouldn't he be celebrating right now — bragging he beat us?" He grabbed some pancakes from the silver platter in the middle of the table and began stabbing them with his fork. "Draco's down right pissed. Won't even leave the dorm."

"Didn't he bust his ass from the fall," I joked, smiling at the memory of him free-falling towards the ground. Yes, I did hope he wasn't hurt too badly, but it was still quite funny to think about.

"Yeah his wrist is broken, but he refused to let Madame Pomfrey fix it. He said he'd rather get a cast and let it heal naturally."

Leah choked on her pumpkin juice and laughed. "Oh please," she said, waving her hand. "I bet he's just gonna use it as an excuse to get extra attention from everyone."

As if right on cue, Draco Malfoy entered the Great Hall, hand in a cast, and the widest smirk spread across his face. We all looked up from our seats in saw him march over to us, looking more prideful then ever. To this day, I will never understand how he'd be so happy from a broken wrist.

"What's good Mister Malfoy," I said with a smirk. "Enjoying your ten seconds of fame?"

When he had entered, almost the whole school had paused, staring at his arm. For no one was used to seeing a wizard in a cast.

He rolled his eyes. "Now everyone's eyes can be on me instead of pathetic Potter — no offense," he said as he shoved Blaise to the side and sat down beside me.

I shook my head and raised my hand. "None taken. He's officially lost me as a sibling until he comes to me and apologizes."

"Like that'll ever happen," all three of them said at the same time causing me to laugh.

"No offense to your brother," Leah started, "but his likelihood of apologizing is lower then Draco's — and that's saying something!"
