"Ashley Walker, a first year student."

Ava's POV

"Hello Miss Potter," Said Dumbledore, with his usual dreamy tone. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Morning sir," I replied. "Is everything alright?"

Dumbledore ushered me out of the hall and down towards the dungeons. "Ah yes, everything is quite alright. Your brother got into some mischief so I believe it is time for the two of you to have a quick chat. From what I've heard, you two aren't on the best of terms..."

I rolled my eyes. "Does this have anything to do with a flying car?"

"Why yes, it does. Harry and Ron ended up crashing the car into a Whomping Willow." His voice was extremely calm, and I found it quite amusing. One thing confused me, though. I had no clue what a Whomping Willow was. As if reading my mind, Dumbledore started speaking again. "A Whomping Willow is a very interesting type of tree. It can move its branches and attack anyone that goes near it."

I nodded. Dumbledore stopped walking in front of Snape's office and gently knocked upon the door. No more than a second later, Snape flung it open, his usual grumpy-looking face swelled with fury. Something truly bad must've happened if it put Snape in a worse mood... if that was even possible.

"Come in," he said flatly. He looked at me for a few seconds before abruptly turning around. I entered the classroom with Dumbledore and spotted Ron and Harry silently eating their share of the feast.

Harry and Ron both turned their heads when I entered. They looked extremely dirty and beaten up. "What the bloody hell happened to you two!" I asked, exasperated. Ron glared at me but Harry shot me a guilty smile.

"Oh, uh... Hey Ava..." Harry replied nervously.

Before I could respond, Snape spoke. "Your dimwit of a brother and his pathetic friend crashed into a Whomping Willow that has been on these grounds for nearly fifty years," Snape seethed. "Now the tree has immense damage and needs repairing!"

Ron scoffed. "Sir, as I said before, I'm pretty sure it did more damage to us!" Ron pulled out his wand which was snapped in two and I gasped. Ron nodded solemnly. "Yeah go on and say it, Ava... I'm doomed..."

I stifled a laugh and quickly nodded.

"You're doomed..."

After they finished eating their meals, we hurriedly exited Snape's office. I didn't feel like conversing with Harry at the moment, but could hear him rushing after me.

"Ava!" He shouted. I kept on towards my common room. "Ava! Wait up!"

Silence.

"Come on Ava, please?"

I couldn't handle it anymore. The ring in my pocket had begun shaking as I felt it slide onto my finger, forcing me to turn and face Harry.

"What?!" I felt all blood drain from my face as anger engulfed me. The ring on my finger was now rapidly shaking, and Harry seemed a bit taken back.

I quickly shook my head and snapped myself out of the trance. I was still angry, but not as angry as a few moments ago. What was odd is that the anger filled me with warmth. As if I was being comforted by my own rage. I glared at my brother as he approached me.
