"What was that?"
Amazing. Just amazing. Draco left for breakfast early, and what do I show up to? Well, in the ten minutes Leah and I weren't present, Draco set up a duel with him and Harry! Those two are so insufferable! What is this, their tenth argument of the year?
And what's even better, Draco offered me up to be his second. Merlin, help me.
"Wait, what?" Leah said, perplexed. I just told her about the duel being held in the Trophy Room. She placed her pumpkin juice back onto the table and blinked. "No. I simply won't allow this. Who do they think they are?"
I sighed, laying my head on the table. "At least I'm Draco's second... I can make sure they don't kill each other."
"Well, we're only first years. I won't allow my best friend to possibly harm herself—,"
"Rude." Leah and I turned around to see Blaise facing us, an eyebrow raised, and hands crossed. "And here I was, under the impression, that I was your best friend..."
Leah rolled her eyes. "Very funny Zabini, but Ava is way higher than you."
Blaise pretends to be hurt, placing a hand over his heart. I chuckled. "I'll always be before you," I said, sending him a cheeky wink.
He rolled his eyes but backed down, admitting defeat.
As the day progressed, Leah and I brainstormed ways of stopping the duel. And as annoying as those boys could be, neither Leah nor I wanted to see any of them injured.
One thing that continually confused me was how laid back Draco was. He didn't seem nervous in the slightest, and kept slipping me a smirk every time we made eye contact.
"I don't understand," I said, groaning and plopping onto the common room couch. Leah signed and sat beside me, placing her legs onto my lap. "I swear he knows something that we don't."
"Well, it doesn't matter. All you need to know is that your either not going, or I'm going with you."
I huffed, pulling my red hair out of the ponytail. "And why's that?"
"I'm not putting you in harms way!! It's either none of us or all of us."
I laughed. That's Leah for you. Always being there for her friends. I really wonder how she was put into Slytherin.

Ten minutes to twelve, Draco and Blaise entered the common room, deep in conversation. The only confusing part was, Draco didn't seem to notice that we had to leave. Leah and I shared a look, but overall, didn't care.
Five minutes later I hopped off the couch, soon followed by Leah. "Where are you going?" Draco asked innocently, as if he didn't plan a duel with my brother.
"Oh I don't know—maybe to the Trophy Room where you planned a duel with my brother?" I said sarcastically, glaring at the blonde git.
"Oh... yeah about that—," he paused pretended to think. "We're not going."
Leah sighed. "Oh, thank the heavens you called it off. We were so nervous someone would be harmed!"
"Well, I'm still going," I told them. "Someone has to tell them you're calling it off."
Draco's eyes widened. "What? No! That defeats the whole point!"
"You told Filch didn't you," I said while rolling my eyes. He's so immature. I know we're only eleven, but they act like they're five!
He seemed confused about how I knew. "How'd you know?"
"Lucky guess, but I'm still warning them. That's my brother you're messing with."
