"Hey! What do you mean sadly? You should be overrun with joy right now."

Wind. That's what I felt against my face. I slowly opened my eyes and realized I'd fainted right next to a window. The light shining through was blinding, but I put up with it. Standing up, I gazed out the window, and oh, was it a beautiful day... The perfect Christmas eve. Fresh snow coated the grounds, and the sky was baby blue, with no clouds in sight.

"Pretty day, am I right?"

I jumped up and turned around. It was Draco. Merlin, was that boy a ninja! "Announce yourself next time?" I groaned. "You gave me a heart attack!"

The boy chuckled. He was wearing a gray hoodie and black sweatpants. "Someone's representing Slytherin today," he said, eyeing my sweater. "I was just heading to the Owlery, care to join?"

I nodded. It'd be good for me to get out of the manor. Maybe fresh air would help clear my mind. "Let me just grab some parchment and a quill. I need to send a letter to Harry."

"No need." From his pockets, he pulled a few pieces of parchment, and a quill with endless ink.

The both of us headed downstairs and exited the manor. Good thing I was wearing snow boots... It was freezing. "As much as I hate wasting ink on your brother, I guess it can pass—this time," he said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "It's too cold for this," I muttered, wrapping my arms around myself in order to preserve some heat. "And Honestly, I think the both of you are quite similar. You might be more — what's the word — arrogant, but he can be a real arse at times, just the same."

Draco scowled, the snow flakes landing on the tip of his nose making it extra red. I giggled. "What's so funny?" He shot back, annoyed from what I'd previously stated.

"You look like a tomato! Your nose and cheeks are all red!" It was quite funny. The red tint next to his pale skin looked quite... different. I liked it.

"You can be rude at times too, you know," he said. I rolled my eyes and shoved him.

"No clue what you're on about. I'm an angel."

"Whatever," he playfully shoved me back. For the next few minutes we swung our bodies back and forth, bumping into each other and occasionally falling over for dramatic effect.

When we reached the Owlery, Mavis, my owl, immediately began hooting. Winter, The Rose Manor owl; and the last one, I don't know her name, but she's absolutely beautiful. Before I could ask, Draco began speaking.

"Ava, meet Nicklaus. You can call him Klaus for short... He's an Eagle Owl. Worth more than the Weasly's house bought twice."

I hit him on the arm quite hard. Ron might be a git at times, but the twins were pretty cool. "Ow! I was only speaking the truth!" He shot his hands up in mock Defense.

"Whatever," I said. "Now, hand me a piece of parchment and quill."

He groaned and reluctantly handed them to me. "Be quick. I dont want much ink wasted on your brother."

Dear Harry,

Something odd happened. I'm not writing to you because I miss you, so don't get cocky. I had a vision where I was in this room with a guy. I don't know how to tell you this, but the vision was in my consciousness. I met this man who said that part of my soul was locked away... I'm really terrible at explaining things, so I'll explain more when I see you.

Anyway, I'm with Draco and Selina. Before you panic, no. I'm not at Malfoy Manor, I'm at Rose Manor. Draco's father went away for a business trip, so sadly, I'm stuck with him.

"Hey! What do you mean sadly? You should be overrun with joy right now." Draco was reading over my shoulder. I turned around and glared.

"I really should be in tears right now, so take 'sad' as a compliment. I thought it would be worse."

Before I could stop him, he snatched the letter from my grasp and began writing with the quill. I froze, not wanting him to see what I wrote. Luckily, it didn't seem as if he was reading it, just scribbling down a few words. After he was done, he handed the letter back to me with a smirk.

This is Malfoy. I hope that you catch on fire and die a slow and painful death. If the Weasel is with you, I hope he has to watch you burn. Tell the Weasel that if he needs some money, he could always owl us, for we could send him some Leprechaun gold if he wants.

I groaned and quickly scribbled out the paragraph. "If you thought I would leave that, you're mental," I said.

He chuckled. "Well, it was worth a shot, yeah?"

I continued writing.

Don't try reading the scribbled out section above. Trust me. You'll regret it. Anyway, hope you're having a nice time. Sorry to say that I didn't buy you anything. I didn't get anything for anyone so don't feel sad.

From your amazing twin sister that you only recently found out about,

Ava

After I folded up the letter and handed it to Mavis, we headed back towards the manor.

"So," Draco said after a few minutes. "What's this vision you had?"

Anyone could've seen my body tense up. Of course he knew! He was reading over my shoulder! Merlin, I'm so stupid.

"Don't try to avoid the question Ava. I'm not that thick, so mine as well just tell me." He looked over his shoulder, one eyebrow raised.

"Well," I took a breath, then explained everything to him. From the ring, to the girl in the mirror, and the man.

He blinked. "Well?"

"Well what?"

"Well, why in Merlin are you still wearing that ring? You said that's how he communicates! Take it off. Right now — and throw it into the distance."

He stopped walking, grabbed my arm. He then snatched the ring off my finger and chucked it into the distance. "There," he said. "Now this — this thing, can't contact you, okay?"

"I don't know if that'll stop the issue," I breathed.

He shrugged. "Well, I guess we'll find out. Tell me if you have another one of those — visions..."
