The 16th candle

I woke up late today. I don't feel like doing too much today....

"Happy birthday Ronnie" Anne walks in whispering. Behind her my whole family and Justin holding a plate. It's a whole breakfast in bed. Oh wait, that's right it's my birthday.

"Happy birthday Vonnie"Jo gives me a very tight hug. She passes me a little box. "Open it" she smiles.

It is two tickets to an Aerosmith concert. "Wait... for real?" I smile. I run and give her a hug. "Thank you so much Jo" she whispers in my ear.

"So what do you want to do today baby?" My dad asks.

"First off I got to go to school so I'll start by getting ready" I laugh it off.

"You can stay home if you want" my dad says.

"No it's okay I'm looking forward to it" I smile and get out of bed. We chat a little before they get out of my room and I get dressed.

Justin drive us to school. "See you later Ron" he says before going to his building. As I walked to class Emily tackles me down into a hug.

"Happy birthday Veronica!!!" She shouts and I laugh. Ryder and Ian standing in the door too. They give me a hug too.

"Thank you Em!" I smile at her. She gives me a huge hug again.

We got to class. Thankfully today we just had the first two periods before free period. We walked out of class and I put my books in the locker. Then Mike walks up my way.

There he is standing and looking at me. "There's the prettiest girl of all" he smirks at me. I walk closer and get into a hug. He briefly breath in between the slow connection of our bodies. "How is you day going?" He whispers.

"Great now that I found you" I smirk. He leans back into hug and gently kisses my forehead. He pulls back.

"Now this is for you" he passes me a stack of beautiful red roses.

"Its so cute" I smell the roses and he laughs.

"Happy birthday Ronnie" He says to me.

"So does the birthday girl want something to eat?" he ask ajoking.

"Of course" he smiles and we walk to the cafe.

There I find most of my friends Zach is there, Chelsea is there Bryce, Justin they all congratulated me but this time Mike and I sat next to Emily and Ryder.

Jacob is not there. I tried to spot him but he was no where to be seen. I haven't seen him since Wednesday. And today is Friday. "How the happy couple?" Emily smiles.

"Happy, he surprised me with these" I grab the roses and show her.

"Awww that's so cute" she smiles and then look at Ryder.

"Come on man, now I'm getting the look now" Ryder jokes around. We laugh a little. "So what are you up to today?".

"Not sure yet, no big plans actually" I smile. I continue to look for Jacob without being obvious. Maybe he'll try to talk to me today that is my birthday. Its been 2 weeks anyways.

Emily takes my hand and takes me away. "He didn't come to school today Ronnie" she whispers.

"Who?" I hope that she didn't notice.

"You know who I'm taking about" she says a little more annoyed. "Don't think about him anymore, you know what happened he doesn't deserve you".

"It's okay don't worry" Emily really cares a lot for me and I'm glad that I told her this. If I told Chels about it she would have probably said it to so many people. And that's the last thing that we need.
