So Jacob and I went to my place finally. The day was actually great, we had some sushi and went for a walk around my neighbourhood. He got us both brownies and then we went back to sleep.
But then when we woke up the next day, things were rocky. I am not even sure what is up with Zach but he gives Jacob death glares. I love spending time with the boys but I miss Emily. She has been pretty distant lately. Maybe Ian was right...
"Ryder, can you please bring me the sweater I forgot at Emily's?" I ask.
"I mean I can, if I go today I promise I'll bring it by tomorrow" he grabs a piece of paper and start doodling around. The juniors pass through our spot in the grass, I spot Bella, Zach, Nathan, and some volleyball girls.
"What is up with Zach today?" He asks.
"I dunno actually, yesterday we were all good but now he genuinely gave Jacob a dirty look all day" I express.
"I thought they were best friends. Well at least before November it was always Justin, Zach and Jacob for everything" Ryder is still looking at Zach weirdly.
"Yeah I know, my brother, my best friend and boyfriend. I gotta find balance in that. If Jacob hates Zach as much as Justin does I'll be in serious trouble" I get worried big time.
"I thought I was your best friend" he looks at me.
"Oh I love you both equally, you are honestly family to me and besides Chelsea and Amelia, my closest Friends". I grab one of his doodling papers and turn it to a paper airplane.
"Ryder, Veronica, haven't seen you do any work yet" The biology teacher comes forward and looks at both of us in the floor.
"I'm sorry Ms, we are doing the job I promise" I lay down in the grass.
"I sure hope so Ms Griffiths, your performance has been going down in this class" she walks away when Ryder looks at me in shock.
"Should be worried about that one" he says throwing a small paper on my stomach.
"I know, but I just can't focus anymore" I respond from the grass. The bell rings on that note.
"Let's go" he offers a hand but I reject it.
"Catch up with your girlfriend, I'll stay here on the break" I say.
"She's probably in math right now, but will do. See you later Ron" he grabs his backpack and walk away. I am there just laying in the grass. It's so peaceful out here. Well some people came to the field to chat with each other's groups but I'm just there laying alone.
"Howdy" Zach lays next to me.
"Hey Zachy" I smile at him.
"What are you doing here?" He lays down next to me.
"I'm trying to avoid Mike and told Ryder to go with Em" I answer.
"Uhhh speaking of, she looked pissed as fuck today, wonder what triggered her now" he rolls his eyes.
"I dunno, at this point I'm not on speaking terms with her anymore" I whine.
"Or Mike, Bryce, Jazmine" I whine immediately.
"I know the list goes on, don't have to repeat to me that my life is fucking messed up" I turn around and how is facing the floor. "I'm failing Biology".
"Didn't you tell me that you wanted to be a biochemist" I sit up and look at him.
"I know!! I gotta get my life back on track" I steal one bite of his cookie.
"You will" he laughs. "On that note, look who arrived" I see from afar how Mike approaches us. I stand up and look at him.
"Talk?" He asks. I nod and we go to the cafeteria.
