After getting out of the shower, Y/n dried herself and put on her outfit. It was a navy dress with thin strops that was tight around her waist. It stopped around her knees and fell slightly tight down her thighs with a slit in the right side. She had silver jewelry on as well as a pair of black heels. She curled her locks and put on a bit more shiny make-up. Tonight was festive, and she was excited.

Around 15 minutes before she had to be in the hotel lobby to get ready to leave with the team, a knock came upon her door. At first she thought it was Charles and was slightly confused, when she saw Tabatha outside her door. "Tabatha? Uh hey, what's up?" Y/n said with a confused smile. "Can we talk?" Y/n felt worried but nodded and they sat down on her bed.

"You need to be honest with me okay, can you do that?" Y/n's heart was racing and her palms were sweaty but she nodded. "Is there something going on between you and Charles" her world stopped for a second, and she got lost for words. "w-what?" she stumbled over her words. God she was a terrible liar. "I'm not a fool, Y/n. I've noticed the way you look at each other, speak to each other, the way you act around each other." she really caught the pair red-handed, and Y/n was frozen.

"Tabatha I-" but no more words came out. "Don't lie to me" Y/n sighed knowing that she couldn't hide it from Tabatha any longer. "I'm sorry" was all she could say. What else was she even suppose to say? "Y/n as your friend I'm happy that you two found each other, but as your PR manager, you can't be breaking the rules like that." her tone was ferm, but not angry. More disappointed. "Look I know that, okay? And I swear, I never thought this would happen. The two of us used to hate each other, and now I love him, and I can't live without him. And I know it's against the rules, but it hasn't affected our driving skills, I mean we got P1 and P2 today for fuck sake! I know, I'm stupid but I just-" she quickly stopped herself realizing that she was rambling out everything, and she should probably keep her mouth closed.

"You... love him?" her tone had changed into something more soft now. "Yeah I do. He's the best thing that has happened to me besides F1 obviously, and he makes me happy. Why is that such a crime?" her tone was soft as well, and Tabatha looked at her with sadness. "It's not a crime. And I wish I could do something, I truly wished that, but I didn't make the rules. And unless you wanna loose your seat already... there's nothing I can do"

"What, so you want me to break up with him?" she said feeling her heart shatter. "It's out of my hands" there was a silence filling the room for a few seconds. "No, this can't be it. Being in love with someone shouldn't even matter like this. There has to be a way to change the rules" Y/n wasn't giving up. She wasn't giving up on Charles. "I don't know, Y/n. Maybe there is, or maybe not. But if there really is some way, I suggest you be extra careful until we know for sure what to do"

After talking a bit more Tabatha left, and Y/n got ready to leave as well. A few minutes later Y/n had arrived in the hotel lobby where most of the team were standing. She noticed Charles talking to some of the mechanics. He was wearing a sand colored shirt with black pants and a matching jacket, and he was looking hot as hell. But Y/n remembered what Tabatha said, so she rushed over to someone else to avoid talking to him, for now at least.

Finally the team had arrived at the bar, and of course the first thing that everyone wanted, was to take first a picture of the drivers and then the rest of the team with them as well. AT first Y/n smiled as her and Charles wrapped their arms around each other in a side hug. They smiled for the pictures until Y/n noticed Tabatha looking at them, and she quickly let go again. Then the rest of the team joined and Charles was about to side hug her again, but she slightly pulled away and hugged someone else instead.

Charles was a bit confused, but decided to just let it go as it was probably nothing. They took the remaining pictures before everyone sat down and ordered food. Quickly Y/n forgot about everything, as she was in a great conversation with Peter, Riccardo and a mechanic named Kevin. The mood in the bar was amazing, and it was obvious that everyone was still very impressed and happy with their results this weekend.

After dinner it was time for more celebrating. People ordered drinks and even went out on the dance floor. After dancing a bit Y/n plopped down on a bar chair with a fancy pink drink in her hand. She was a bit tipsy, but nothing very serious. Though it was clear that people were getting a bit drunk.

"Hey stranger" butterflies aroused in her stomach, as she felt his breath down her neck when he whispered. He joined the chair next to her also with a drink in his hand. He gave her a warm smile, and as she returned his smile, Tabatha's words were stuck in her brain. Was her only option to break up with him? To just let the love of her life go just like that, and all because of her job? But then again... that job had been a lifelong dream of her, and now she was finally living it. This would be the hardest and weirdest time in her life.
