"Are you kids alright?" Senzo asked, as he approached the children.

"Yes sir. Sorry you had to save us." Tesla responded. He was carrying an unconscious Abby on his back. "I'm afraid we are still not strong enough."

At that moment, Brandon emerged from the forest pushing a huge ball of water. Inside of it were the Serpentine knights who were affected by the poison.

Senzo smiled upon seeing this. They are further than they think. Just like that Clement boy from earlier. He smiled before turning towards Tesla.

"It's true you are not strong enough, but you must not be rash. Strength is accumulated over time." He stated. "Trust me, you'll look back on this day and laugh at yourself." Senzo laughed because the children reminded him of himself.

From out of the blue, the earth began to shake and an explosion was heard in the distance. From where they were a pillar of black smoke reached for the sky. As the kids looked at it Tesla noticed something headed their way.

"Everyone move!" Tesla shouted. Using his blood attribute the Heavy's vice captain grabbed everyone in the area and moved away from danger. They barely escaped before the huge boulder touched the ground. The impact of the crash was so great that it created a giant hole in the ground. The forest around it was gone leaving the soil barren.

Tesla marveled at the quick reaction his senior had. His skill at controlling his attribute was high. He even managed to take the water ball. "If you continue honing your skill, what I did just now will be easy as pie."

"What was that?" Brandon asked in utter shock as he heard another shockwave. Before anyone could speak, the three heard a roar so powerful that pushed them away.

Senzo managed to stabilize himself preventing Brandon from vomiting. To Tesla's surprise Abby was still unconscious. Even with everything happening around them she was still out.

As they looked at Fortress mountain, the trio spotted something emerging from it. Right there at the peak of the mountain was a five headed serpent. Each head had two horns and glowing red eyes. It was covered in dark green scales all over it's body and on it's back was four wings.

"That is going to be a problem." Tesla commented.

"Great job Sherlock." Brandon responded.

"Just think of all the limits I can surpass." Senzo stated as wings made from blood appeared. He landed far away from the creature where he was sure the creature's attacks won't reach anybody.

He dropped the kids safely and prepared to take-off.

"Before you go on a rampage, would you mind explaining to us what is that?" Tesla asked.

Whipping the drool off his mouth, Senzo prepared to explain.

"The name of that creature is Rahab the younger brother to Tiamat the ancient dragon. Long ago something happened to Rahab causing him to go on rampages and for three generation of magis he raged on. Rahab was so fierce that all the danger beasts in Ngwane fled to neighboring countries."

"How was it defeated then?" Brandon asked.

"It wasn't defeated, it was sealed away by the clans that make up the elders. They came up with a ritual using reed. Even so alot of people died that day."

"Do you mean that's how the reed festival was created?" Tesla asked in shock.

"Yes." Senzo responded. "The elders were the ones who saved our country and as frustrating as that is we have to honor them."

"So what is the plan sir?" Tesla asked Senzo.

"For now you kids stay here, it's time for the adults to step in." Before Tesla could respond, Senzo took off into the sky.

Meanwhile, Robin woke up after that massive earthquake. She noticed that a green wall was preventing the rocks from falling on them. Robin scouted the area to see what had happened to the others. To her relief Maya had managed to protect them all from the rubble.

The shield of humanity strikes again. Robin smiled as she stood up. She dusted herself before she approached Maya.

"Great job." She touched Maya on her shoulder, while her vines crushed the human sized boulders.

"It's not over yet." Maya responded before the creature once again roared. The remaining rocks fell from the ceiling. This time Robin quickly used her alchemy to crush them into powder.

"Thanks for the back up. Check on the others while I recoupe." Maya told her friend, as she tried to catch her breath.

She may not resemble her dear mother, but she is clearly Pendragon's daughter. Azoth laughed, as he turned his attention towards the creature.

"Unless you level up drastically, you aren't going to stand a chance against the creature let alone me." He mumbled before vanishing.

"Hey... Robin." Maya called, as she stood up. "Did you see where... Azoth went to?"

"No, but I have a pretty good idea." Robin pointed towards the monster. "We have to stop that some how."

"I agree."

"No!" Lana interrupted the two girls' conversation. "If you go out there you'll be killed. Did you not notice Azoth's power?"

"Lana..."

"I mean none of you could lay a scratch on him, how do you expect to leave a mark on that!?" She continued. "Let's just wait for a seated officer, maybe they'll-"

Lana stopped after Robin slapped her on the face. It was so hard that it created an echo throughout the area.

"Calm down. Have you wondered how Azoth got here in the first place. For Pete's sake we are surrounded by knight squads with seated officers in all directions!" Robin stated. "I'm sure you realized that they must all be dead by now and we are only remaining knights in the area. Then how can we let that run unchecked?"

"Don't let fear control you. You should control it." Robin smiled. "A friend of mine once told me that."

"You can stay here for all I care but, I'm going to try my best to stop that man's plot." Robin proclaimed before running off into the distance.

Maya then stepped forward and looked at Lana. "We'll be right back. There's still a lot I want to ask okay." She told her. "Even so I'm still scared, but right now it's not about me."

After that Maya left the cave. Lana watched as her friend vanished into the darkness. Even though they looked brave, she could see the fear from the movement of their eyes.

Thanks for reading the chapter. Maya and Robin sure are brave. Do you think they have a chance at saving the day?
