Chapter 24 Linda and Lion

"Hm... The capital is beyond this peak." Said a large bearded man on a black horse. He had black iron armour with a white foot mark on it. He looked on at the Rainbow nation soldiers below but, a certain silhouette stuck out to him causing him to exhale deeply.

"Try not to disgrace the Magagulas and more importantly our country, Lion..." Linda said as she came up to the hill top on her white horse. The army below was massive but, this did not worry her at the very least. She was wearing silver armour with a black serpent mark on it. Both of them had red capes with the Ngwane crest.

"Listen up, our enemies are below us and they look hungry for blood. I know they out number us one to five but, we will succeed and get our children back. Because we are the magic knights from Ngwane.!" Lion said while facing a large group of knights behind him. He held up his fist as he gave his speech. This caused the army to shout really loudly. "Now forward to victory!" He continued pointing at their opponents and a wave of men raced passed him and Linda.

"You know... you suck at giving motivational speeches." Linda said before taking off but, Lion was not far from her. "You forgot about all the crimes they committed such as killing Mr Larze and attacking Sargo Village."

"I know I suck but who could resist such an opportunity." Lion added causing Linda to smirk. "Let's see who can find the army commanders and defeat them first." He continued before he created a spear from his mercury magic.

The Rainbow nation army saw a large group of knights running at them with their magic attacks up in arms. As they got closer they also readied themselves. Bang was amongst them as he noticed Linda on her white horse.

"Attack!!!!" Bang shouted as he pointed at the coming forces. Just before the army could advance countless magic spells we flew from the Ngwane army straight at them.

"You are not." She said as she charged up her magic. As a group of forty men came at her with their magic, a mysterious force blew them clear across the battlefield creating a crater where they stood. The people behind stopped in their tracks and marveled at her power.

Meanwhile, Lion was fighting water mages who were good at long range attacks. His mercury quickly turned into a shield and blocked their attacks while, he shot a few mercury arrows at his opponents simultaneously. He managed to defeat all of the twenty mages with ease and he did not kill any. He was a bit bored at this moment but, he kept searching for that .

The two decided to split up to cover more ground. In their path men and women were flying left and right. Some how the Ngwane Kingdom hadn't suffered any losses but, the Rainbow nation soldiers were dropping like flies. The magic canons were child's play to a captain's power. Lion especially, found them more of an annoyance than a threat. "Is this all they have? How irritating..." Lion said as a man emerged from the top of the city wall.

"I thought Ozen the Sorcerer was here. I didn't think he would send his underlings." He added as he jumped down from a thirty foot wall.

"This must be my lucky day. I didn't know you were the general of the army." Lion replied as his mercury circled him like a cyclone.

" Are you hoping to get your rematch from your Rk tournament loss to me?" The man said as his magic started to activate. "If your hoping to get help from Linda like last time, I'm afraid she's too occupied by my associate." The mystery man continued.

"I don't need her help, my power is enough to defeat you."

"The soldiers are running around, I wonder what is going on out there?" Maya said as she felt a giant explosion that loosened the prison bars. The soldiers at that moment shouted something but, she could barely hear them over the screaming. "What is that?" She added as another explosion went off.

"Whatever it was it just opened up a way for us to escape." Cody said as he clenched the loose bar with his hands. "I'm not going to let some bar stop from saving everyone and me becoming a Magi." As Cody said that people heard his statement and went to observe him. The one legged man smilled to himself. So it's true, history is repeating itself. He thought to himself.
