Chapter 85: Trial part 2

Maya used rocks to block in coming attacks. Damnit his attribute has an advantage over mine. Maya thought a she created gelatin tentacles.

The villain destroyed them, before he ran towards her. "Your attribute is one of the few that can change it's state quickly and easily. Too bad you are not taking advantage of that."

The attackers created a giant hammer made from flames. He slammed it and destroyed the rock. Maya managed to roll away but her jeans were scorched a bit.

"Gelatin prison!" Maya shouted as she encased the villain. Thanks to it's softness, the attacker found it difficult to move. "Who are you?"

Expecting a response, Maya was given a smug smirk. "You already know who I am, we've met before." The villain's response confused the young girl. "And besides, do you think this will be enough to stop me." He laughed before he escaped from his cell.

He covered his body in flames and melted the prison. "As I thought, you haven't fully grasped your attributes full potential." He stated before directing his fierce gaze directly at Maya.

Even though she was shaking at the sight of him, Maya still readied herself. Even if my attribute is not suitable against him, I'll hold him down until someone stronger comes along. She thought about Cody and Tesla. With a loud roar she pushed herself forward.

Maya sent gelatin tentacles at him. The simply charged at them melting those that got to close. Some went around him and attacked him from behind. The villain immediately blocked them, before Maya appeared from the opposite direction and punched him in the face.

"Nice one." He smiled before returning a blow of his own. He quickly followed with another one but this time his fist was covered in flames. He punched her so hard that she flew across the road and crashed onto a guard rail.

"I think I hold back." The villain mumbled before noticing Maya try standing up again. He smiled a little. "I guess you are still burning with determination."

"Do your worst."

"Let's see." The attacker responded before he got into a certain stance. "Burning desire!" He stated before he created a giant ogre made of fire. It jumped at Maya before it tried to punch her.

A huge explosion occurred covering the area in smoke. "I never thought I'd be surprised twice in one day." The villain stated as the smoke cleared up. "Welcome to the party hero boy."

The smoke cleared revealing a huge fire wall. This fire wall was created by Clement who fell from the sky. "You okay?"Clement asked as he looked at Maya from the corner of his eye. "Stand down, a poison user is on his way."

"I guess that's fine, because my job was done the moment you arrived." The villain's statement confused  Maya. The fire ogre immediately vanished after this.

Meanwhile, Cody was cut by strings from the puppet they were fighting. He barely escaped its attack. "Are you okay?" Abby asked as she landed next to Cody.

"I'm fine don't worry about me." Cody responded while wiping away some blood from the cut. "Right now we should be figuring out how we are going to defeat this guy." Cody stated before he and Abby jumped away from their spot.

Zack tried to cut the strings using his 'wind slicer' however, they were too strong. He used his winds to evade the counter attack.  I can't get an opening. He concluded before regrouping with his friends.

"That thing's defense is impenetrable. I have no idea how we are going to stop it."  Zack stated.

"The fact that it's pushing us back is frustrating." Cody commented.

"I think I have a plan." Abby stated.

"Tell us."

A mysterious figure watched the fight from the distance. Upon seeing this they smiled. "It's about time you brat."

"Remember guys I'm not sure about this." Abby warned the others.

"Where there's a will there's a way..." Cody qouted one of the previous Magi. Zack agreed to that sentiment.

The trio readied themselves. Like lightning they were off. Abby using her athleticism ran ahead of the boys. She evaded any of the strings that got came at her.

From nowhere to came from the side, and were about to slice her in half. Thankfully Cody and Zack were able to block it.

Cody then expanded his staff trying to get a hit in. Unfortunately for him, the puppy was able to evade the attack. Zack then followed but, this time the puppet blocked with its sword.

Through all of this Abby kept moving forward. She tried to hit it with a magma shot, but it evaded it easily. Cody used this opportunity to slam it with an expanded night staff, to Cody's surprise it blocked his attack with a shield made of strings.

It managed to push him back, just a Zack unleashed his aeolus blast. I person made a wind appeared and blasted a flood of wind. In response, the puppet, threw his sword at Zack.

The Mamba boy, managed to catch it saving himself. "That won't be enough to stop m-" the person stopped, upon realizing what was happening. They smiled to themselves acknowledging defeat. "So she was the one attacking, the other two were just serving as distractions and protecting her.

With a single swing, Abby punched the puppet thirteen feet away from her. The attack created an explosion. "Have a taste of my destruction fist." Abby stated as she felt the pain from the attack.

"I guess you still haven't gotten use to the attack." Zack stated.

"I know that feeling." Cody laughed. "I was asleep for an entire day, after using black hole..."

"Thanks for trusting my plan guys." Abby stated.

"Of course we will. You are a knight like us." Zack stated as he helped Abby to her feet. The young lady blushed and ended up punching Zack in the abdomen.

"That's gonna hurt..." Cody winsed. Abby pouted before looking away.

While this was happening someone landed right behind Cody. Everyone turned towards the mysterious person who had just entered the training ground. With a bright smile that rivalled the sun the person gently rubbed Cody's hair. "Congratulations, you passed the test."
