Chapter 72: Vortex Realm

Back at Fortress mountain, Maskaraid and Azoth continued their fight. From miles away trails of lightning could be seen moving around haphazardly. As Maskaraid ran at Azoth she coated her sword in lightning.

"Two can play at that game." Azoth stated. Just before he could run towards his sister, Maskaraid's speed exponentially increased until she became a flash of lightning.

Azoth could do nothing but feel the lightning pass right through him. His hair stood on ends as the lightning flowed throughout his body. Maskaraid then appeared behind Azoth sheathing her sword. Before he could counter, Azoth's arm fell to the ground. This shocked the abnormal greatly. Maskaraid then distanced herself from Azoth.

Nora's analysis was correct. It takes him two seconds to switch between two locations. Maskaraid thought as she felt her heart racing.

While separated Maskaraid wipped the sweat from her forehead, Azoth stopped himself from bleeding out. Maskaraid was shocked by this. For a make shift dloti, my sister is very strong... She has been adjusting to my switches and timing her counter attacks really well.  Azoth laughed as the black aura appeared from the wound and started taking the form of a right arm.  But, the is something we abnormals can do which you can't dear sister.

Maskaraid noticed a dark aura envelope Azoth. "Oh no you don't!" She shouted before taking off. Just as she was about to swing her sword, Azoth blocked his pinky finger. As the smoke cleared Maskaraid's eyes widened.

"If you thought ifrit was powerful, you have no idea what the zodiac are capable of." Azoth spoke while the dust cleared. "That inferior dloti isn't worthy of being part of Eclipse elite warriors."

The abnormal was covered in white fur all over his body except for his chest area and face. His hair grew longer and he had a long tail. His mask had also fused with his face.

"Foolish sister, you are fighting the tenth ranked dloti." Azoth stated before punching Maskaraid through Fortress mountain. Maskaraid created a tunnel to the other side of the mountain. "Behold my true form!"

Azoth then teleported to where Maskaraid was, but she was gone. Suddenly blue sky became black. The villain then looked to the horizon and saw that it was Leo activating his realm.

"This will be fun." He smiled before teleporting.

Meanwhile, thirty minutes ago, Leo and Bafana were trying their level best to stall Rahab. Two of Rahab's heads had vanished and now three remain. The markings all over it's body were starting to fade away.

"It's been quite sometime since the last development." Bafana spoke before engulfing the monster with fire.

"I know..." Leo stated as he thought of his son.

"You sound worried there Leo." Bafana commented. Leo simply clicked his tongue and looked away from Bafana.

"Why should I be worried? My son can take care of himself." Leo stated.

What happened to him in the past few weeks? Bafana thought as he evaded another breath attack. Leo managed to block before it could go any further.

"At this rate we might not be able to defeat it. I think it's time." Bafana stated.

"But we are too close to Luyengo."

"That Lana girl already has that under control." Bafana responded. "Let me go to my grandson and his friends. Once ten minutes have past, unleash your realm."

Using his fire attribute Bafana flew off into the distance. He left a trail off fire behind him.

While this was happening, Maya arrived at Luyengo. She quickly ran through the town looking for Senzo. "Vice captain Senzo!" She shouted.
