Later that night Cody sat on his bed whilst looking at the scar on his arm. A lot of things happened today and I could not do anything about it.

Suddenly, his bedroom door opened and there standing in the door frame was Sito. At that same moment the clothes Cody placed on dresser fell to the floor.

"Your room is filthy. Try to clean up once in a while you pig." Sito spoke, as his eyes scanned the room. His left eye twitched with disgust at the sight of unmade shirts lying everywhere and the ticking time bomb of a wardrobe.

When he looked at the trash bin he noticed a chocolate wrapper from last week with more papers on the floor. However, worst of all he caught a glimpse of a cockroach roaming the cluttered floor. This room is ground zero for a new disease.

"I'm here for the red eyed freak's number." Sito proudly demanded.

The dark aura may have caused him to lash out, but the distance between us was there before hand. Cody observed.

Without wasting time, Cody transfered the data using his holo caster which was a device made at Inyoni Tech. It used alchemic energy in the atmosphere to communicate with other holo caster devices. It was small and resembled a wrist watch.

During this moment, their mother happened to pass by and even she could feel the tension in the air. Being an only child, she never experienced sibling conflict. This kind of situation was all new to her.

"You better apologize. What you did today was terrible." Cody commented. I can't tell him about the thing I saw. Besides, even if I tried he wouldn't believe me.

After hearing this Sito halted his exit. "Like you have the right to talk or did you forget that it was you who killed our father?" With those words Sito left. Using his attribute he created a whip to close the door. Thanks to that the rest of Cody's clothes fell to the floor.

It's not that I killed our father, I just failed to protect him. Cody thought before lying flat on his bed with his face looking at the ceiling.

Even after my father's death I tried to remain cheerful. With people ridiculing me it was hard, but I held on to his final words. I guess over the years they have won. My wish to protect everyone and my dream have slowly moved out of reach. If it wasn't for Zack and Abby, I would have killed myself by now.

Right now I'm not cut out for the exam and even if I train, the squad captains won't even pick me. Cody thought, as he slowly fell asleep. His mind went dark before he found himself in a ruined city, covered in flames. Corpses surrounded him and blood flowed everywhere.

Suddenly, someone wearing a lab coat stood in mid-air carrying an unconscious Abby on his right arm. "Let her go!" Cody shouted.

"Why should I? Are you going to wave your stick at me?" The person laughed, before appearing behind Cody. "If you were stronger, maybe I could've listened to you and maybe all this could've been avoided." The person rotated the city showing the boy the death and destruction.

As Cody turned around the person was now back on the roof. Without a word the person pointed at Cody, immediately after a strange reptilian, humanoid creature appeared. It had flaming hair and golden eyes. The smoke prevented Cody from seeing it clearly. Without wasting much time it attacked Cody.

"Ahhh!" Cody screamed, as he quickly sat up. His body was sweating to the point that his clothes were soaking wet. He calmed himself down while his vision cleared. "Dammit! Whether it's in real life or my head, I'm still useless." He spoke as he looked at his clock.
