Chapter 33 Mind Fighter

When Lady T was about to grab Abby, a chain made of gelatin wrapped around Abby's waist. With all her strength Maya pulled Abby out of the shadow realm saving her life. Immediately after, Lady T followed smirking as one of her shadow hands lifted her up from the hole. She created more hands from the shadows to trying and restrain the girls.

Maya somehow managed to block a few of them but, her shield was instantly destroyed by the rest. Maya has been using her Alchemic energy since the afternoon and now she is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. To make matters worse Abby was unconscious next to her. She was too heavy for Maya to carry however, Maya was not willing to leave her behind.

"Little girl leave your friend and save yourself or do you want to die?" Said Lady T proudly. Behind her thousands of shadow hands emerged from the ground and wiggled around frantically. Maya seeing this placed Abby on the floor before standing in front of her.

"I'll protect my friend from you no matter what you say." This reminded Maya of the day she met Cody.

For as long as she could remember her family mistreated her for her magic attribute. She didn't understand why because she had no say in choosing it, fate did that to her.

Maya's siblings teased her about it and went as far as destroying the doll her uncle bought her. Even if she said anything to him, they would continue after he left adding more intensity. Her mother and father paid no attention to her, instead focusing on her more powerful siblings. They brushed of the things they did to her calling it training for the future.

At school it was also the same. The other kids made fun of her and refused to do anything with her because of her attribute. Maya at this point plotted ending her life due to the lack of love she got. The only person she trusted was miles away in another country and she had no method of contacting him.

She decided to kill herself at a cliff close to her home. Before she jumped she saw a boy sitting at the edge of the cliff practicing a spell.

Flashback 
"U..Um excuse me." Maya  mastered up a sentence. She thought he was here to kill himself like her.

"Hey, do I know you?" Cody replied looking confused. "Oh wait you are Maya from my class." He continued.

At this point Maya expected him to point and laugh however, things didn't go that way. Instead he had a gentle smile that was warm and welcoming Maya did not expect that. "S-sorry for disturbing you."

"No problem I was just looking at the magi statues below. One day I'm going to be among them, this means I have to master my attribute the best I can." Cody added as he stood up. His face had a lot more determination and it glowed with confidence. From his hand darkness manifested.

"Isn't your attribute bad compared to the rest?"She asked wondering why he was confident if his was the worst of the worst. She has heard from people that darkness magic is wild and slow, making it weaker than it's light counterpart.

"If I spend my time looking at that, I'll never get anywhere in life. All I know is that the are things that only my attribute can do." Said Cody as a he approached her. He placed his hand on her hair and rubbed it gently. "You use gelatin magic right?"

"Y-yes." She replied while her cheeks turned slightly pink.

"Then you will be the best shield humanity can ever hope for. I'm gonna count on you someday. It's getting late, see ya later."  He waved as he ran of into the distance. As his silhouette faded in the ever expanding night, Maya thought about what he said about her magic.

She touched the spot where he touched her and she smiled a little.

End

Maya used whatever energy she had and created another shield. Instead of just blocking, she shot tentacles that canceled a few of those hands before they hit it. This suprised Lady T a bit because she thought gelatin magic had poor offensive capabilities. The barrage of fist hitting the shield was intense however, Maya maintained her resilience by keeping the shield activated .

From her left eye, Maya began to bleed. Her body was now converting tissue into Alchemic energy. Her shield began to break little by little as it endured a constant barrage. "I'll stand besides him someday and I'll prove to my family that there are things only I can accomplish."

Suddenly, all the hands vanished into thin air. This confused both Maya and Lady T. From nowhere Maskaraid appeared walking slowly into the alley . "What a great worrior you truly have my respect. Rest now and leave the rest to me."

Before kneeling on the hard concrete Maya noticed Maskaraid's blade and knew who she was. "Thanks ma'am."

"Lucky me, lucky me. Masky has decided to grace me with her presence." Lady T stated sounding a bit happy.

"Hello Precious, or should I say Sebe." Said Trinity as he saw the lady slide down the pillar. She devoured the remaining pieces of the cone before she used her tongue to lick the cream off her lips.

"You still remember that pitiful person how funny." She  replied with her hand resting on her well developed hips. Although she seemed unfazed deep down that name hurt her. "That person was weak and pathetic. I now know why you left her behin." She said as she took a step closer at Trinity. Her hips swayed with her hair copying the movement. She smiled seductively at Trinity before landing her gaze at the injured Ted.

"Sebe whatever happened while I left I can fix it. Please."  Trinity's words landed on deaf ears as she moved her hands to the side of her head. " Ted if you can, ice wall now."

"Memory magic: lightning dragon blast." She shouted creating as a giant electric dragon flew straight at Trinity. The attack separated the ground with it's  power alone.

With no effort at all Trinity used Linda's force magic to stop the attack. Bits of the blast chipped away at Ted's ice wall. " I hope that makes you realize I'm no longer that pathetic little girl. I am now a warrior."

"No it doesn't. That just made me pity you even more." Trinity replied as he transformed into Sebe. Her yellow sun dress coupled together with her straw hat somehow brightened the area around him.

Seeing her former self angered Precious. With that she fired another lightning dragon in which Trinity countered with a wall of speckled butterflies. "Don't you remember these they were your favorite." He stated in a feminine voice.

"Shut up.!" She replied as she created a giant dragon made from limestone. It breathed ice which froze anything in it's path. Taking a page from Ted, Trinity created a ice wall which stopped and destroyed the attack plus the monster.

Ted was shocked by the revelation. He was surprised that Precious is Sebe. Trinity how are you going to fight someone you had a crush on?

Trinity and Precious kept exchanging blows evenly showing no signs of stopping. Debris was flying everywhere forcing Ted to use his magic. When a giant boulder was about to land on everyone else, Ted using all his strength destroyed it. This did hurt him but was worth it.

"You look tired Sebe." Trinity remarked. He saw a scowl develope on her face the more he smiled. "If that incident hurt you, why didn't you use your ability to help others? Why resort to this? What is the end game here?

With those words Precious decided to go all out. A blue aura enveloped around her covering her in a bright color. "Memory magic : rise of the sleeping queen... Prepare yourself."

"Forget." Stated Trinity causing the attack to vanish. Suddenly she fell to the ground and was unable to stand up. "This time I'm gonna talk and you'll do the listening mind fighter."

"Now father I begin my first step to greatness." Mason proclaimed in front of his father's picture as the whole room lite up around him.

The candles circled him creating a mini transmutation circle. "Let's begin the fire ritual shall we."  He added as he looked up at the moon whose light shined through a gap at the ceiling.

"Now rise Ifrit!"
