Chapter 38 Seven colors of the Rainbow

"Abby!" Called out Zack as he burst through some bushes. He ran straight at her before checking her heart beat. " What happened?"

"We fought a very powerful villain and she gave the fight everything." Maya replied as she approached him slowly. "H-how did you get here anyways?" 

"Don't worry I came with help. The other knights are coming here I just ran ahead of them. You need attention yours-" A loud Bang interrupted Zack shaking the ground around them. From the capital a  bright light appeared covering the entire castle with it's radiance. For a brief period of time the darkness of the sky vanished and was replaced by blue.

"Cody."

"Daddy is that you?" Layla asked as her father noticed her presence. Although he saw her his red eyes remained void of anything he just simply glanced at her before turning his head towards Ozen.

"I didn't think you'd come Ozen, but I'm glad you did. Now I have someone strong I can fight, what luck." Julius spoke as he moved his hand around quickly. "I have no time for cry a baby especially one who claims to be a daughter of mine. You are just like your pathetic sister and mother, human."

Ozen clenched his fist as he heard those words come out of something that has his master's aura. "How could you say that about your own flesh and blood?"

"What Ozen? Did I strike a cord igniting old forgotten memories. Besides the moment I obtained this power I became a god and no one can stop me."  Julius said before he fell into laughter.

"You have lost your marbles master which means I have to stop you here." Ozen told Julius before he shot a beam of light at him. Julius using all his strength deflected the attack with his bare hands. In doing so he got his right hand injured.

A hole opened up creating a deep wound. From the injury a strange liquid seemed to leak out. Blood? No it can't be that liquid is yellow.

I now understand why Ngwane has not been obtained yet. Ozen you have grown in strength during the past two years. Julius thought as he investigated the wound by running his fingers on it. Just as he was preparing to attack, Ozen suddenly appeared before him. He quickly touched Julius's head creating a giant pulse blast of light.

The attack sent Julius flying to some nearby trees. The branches broke off upon his impact causing the tree to shake as well. "Nice shot for a lowly human."  My transformation into the Ifrit is incomplete, I have to kill him quickly before the sun rises.

"I've barely scratched the surface of my power. You are going to pay for everything you've done." Ozen observed as he teleported back to safety.

"Even the of Larze one of your dearest friends." Julius added as he created a long whip made of fire. The attack chased Ozen around as he teleported all over the place. Ozen avoid areas with a large number of empty bodies to ensure that the souls have a container to return to. "Common Magi fight back or are you afraid of me? Everyone played right into my trap even you."

Ozen briefly smiled before striking with his 'Devine spear'. Out of nowhere a spear made of light pierced Julius's abdomen. This caused Julius to vomit the strange liquid from his mouth. Julius grit his teeth as he saw it stain his hands.

From the distance Cody watched as his uncle fight the ifrit. He was hoping to gain some techniques which he could use to advance his magic further. From this conflict the only thing he picked up was that he needed some long range moves in his arsenal. I have to get stronger and surpass him someday. He thought, as a drop of sweat ran down his face. He could feel his right hand shaking from the task ahead of him.
