"Abbey yaar, ye sab drame kaun karta hai yaar Mom? Aap kahan karte they bachpan me?" Sidharth was back to whining again, with a new reason this time.

"Arrey toh hamare yahan nahi hota hai na! Punjabis me hota hai na Sid! Uske ghar me rakhte hain sab log" Preeti Di explained but to only earn a scoff.

"Sidharth tera na zyada ho raha hai ab!" Shehnaaz threatened him, only to look at Ma requesting her to intervene the debate that had been going on since last ten minutes. Ma nodded with a smile and put his hand on his arm to make him listen to her.

"Sidharth, hamare taraf nahi hota, Punjabis me hota hai Karwachauth. Abhi shadi bhi hai na agle mahine, usko rakhna hai toh rakhne me tereko kya problem hai? Har cheez me kyun behes?" Ma reasoned out.

"Mom, first, shadi abhi hai, jab ho jayegi uske baad wale me discuss karte hain. Second she will no longer remain a punjabi na...ye phir apni taraf ki ho jayegi, hamare taraf nahi rakhte...Mom yaar, uski shakal dekho, woh bina vrat ke hi dhang se khati nahi hai...girti padti rehti hai...yaar tere ko kya hai yaar..."he whined again.

"Sidharth what bullshit yaar. Sana tu rakh beta, ye gadhe ko bolne de isko jo bolna hai" Preeti di told Sana who was upset with him now.

"Ma, duniya itna aage badh gayi hai...isko abhi bhi chand dekhna hai, channi me muh dekhna hai, nirjala vrat rakhna hai and all that...thoda dimag ka bhi toh..." he could not complete since she was already gotten up to walk away.

"Tune kar dia na disrespect already? Toh bas. Aur tereko poocha nahi tha ki main vrat rakhun na rakhun. Tereko bas itna bola tha ki kal ke shoot me shaam ko jaldi aa jana...usme tera itna siyappa hai toh theek hai...tumhe jab aana hai tum aao. Mereko jo karna hai main woh karlungi...Har time apne logic leke mat aaya kar please...Over mat kar bas" she was calm but loud.

"Maa, main andar jaa rahi" she said and walked in, towards the kitchen.

"Very disappointing Sid" Preeti Di nodded, walking away as well.

"Arrey yaar...tum log na..." he had an amused smile but an exasperated expression at the same time.

"Ja, mana usko. Galat baat hai Sid. Its her choice no? If she wants to keep it, then she can. If not, then not. You can't force her otherwise no beta?" Ma gently explained with a smile and he nodded, with a salute.

"Okay...jaata hun...oye punjaaban!" He exclaimed loudly, walking behind her as she took a glass of watermelon juice and walked towards his room.

"Accha, sun na darling...acccha sorry yaar...sorry, bura laga tereko? Ki maine aise bola?...Sacchi sorry. I was just looking out for you. I don't like it when you eat less also...mereko hamesha lagta hai tu khana nahi khaati theek se, idhar poora din bhookha pyaasa rehke...Shehnaaz yaar, baby..."he climbed up the bed after her, tugging at her kurta.

"Its okay...main naraaz nahi hun...tu na irritate kar deta hai...abhi dafaa ho. Main TV dekhungi...tereko news dekhna hai toh living room me dekhiyo....abhi mereko ye wali series dekhna hai" she said, warning him with a raised eyebrow, making him surrender instantly.

"Lo maate...hum bahar jaate" he said, giving her the remote with both his hands. She gave no more bhaav to the man, who took his keys from the drawer and his wallet.

"Tereko chaiye kuch? Kal ke liye saman chaiye kuch?" He asked her before stepping out.

"Nahi...maine order kar lia tha..."she said, not looking away from the screen.
