"Moony! read to me" Exclaimed Sirius from the sofa, he and Remus where sitting in the Gryffindor common room together, James was of pursuing Lily Evans so it was just them they had know idea where Peter was but they didn't care much.
Remus looked nervously at Sirius and his big pleading puppy eyes, the Werewolf gripped his book tightly his voice shook when he spoke. "You know I'm terrible at reading out loud Siri" he said quietly.
Sirius jumped from the sofa he was lying on and into the plush chair Remus was sitting in, it was a tight squeeze but the two managed by Sirius sitting on Remus' lap with his trouser clad legs hanging off the other side of the chair.
Remus sighed and looked at his book from knowing Sirius for three years he knew he wouldn't give up asking so Remus started reading.
One hand held the book and the other turned the pages sometimes he would run his hand through Sirius' silky black hair.
From Remus' soft but deep voice reading and the Werewolfs hand running through his hair Sirius felt his eyes close he cuddled up closer to Remus who was warm which helped him fall asleep faster.
For the next couple hours the two boys sat on the chair together one reading and the other sleeping, it was a peaceful sight to everyone in the common room.
