To celebrate reaching 18 years old and surving the wizarding war against Voldemort, Remus and Sirius decided to get their ears pierced together.

Sirius decided where they would get it done and Remus chose the early rings they would get.

Eventually he decided on a moon and star ear rings for them. "Because they relate to us Siri, I'm the moon and your the stars, my star" said the Werewolf, Sirius couldn't say no to him so they got it done together.

Years later in 1995...

Remus couldn't find one of his ear rings it was the star one, to him it made sense because his star was gone.

It had been a couple horrible days since Sirius died in the veil of death and Remus of course was Heartbroken literally he felt as of he lost part of his heart.

So to him his lost ear ring made him realise Sirius was gone, his star was gone forever and wasn't coming back.

Instead of looking for hisbstar ear ring he just wore the moon one ear ring. His star was gone and he knew that now.
