A visit to Dragonspine

It was a few days after Jean had assigned Y/n to babysit Aether for his time in teyvat. Though the group generally meshed well Paimon still said, "We should do a group exercise. To build trust!" She had said it with enough conviction to convince y/n to agree to the idea.

However after taking a moment to think Y/n soon realized, "But how?" She asked skeptically. Unfortunately, there were no escape room or trust exercise programs in Teyvat, much less Monstadt.

Paimon began thinking as she tried to come up with possible ideas to get the group to bond together better. "W-well... Paimon was thinking we could explore somewhere new?" She suggested.

Y/n raised a brow. She didn't know of a place she hadn't explored. Then again Aether and Paimon were still pretty new, "Alright, you guys been through Dragonspine before?" She asked.

Aether shrugged. He'd been there, however, he avoided essentially everything that the mountain had to offer due to its innately dangerous environment. "Only once. We got the statue of seven, stopped by the scientist's, and then left," he muttered. To be entirely honest he didn't exactly want to return to such a dangerous place. Adding onto his worries he wore a crop-top everywhere and was unwilling to change it.

Y/n nodded, "Alright, let's do some commissions around there and pick up one of the easier quests." She stated happily before doing a double-take. "Also, you make want to put something over the crop-top. No one with half a brain cell climbs a mountain with that." She added quickly plopping her bag down and beginning to 'dig' through it. "What's your size? I'll see if I got anything in here." She offered glancing back to the blonde.

Aether was hesitant but still accepted. "Extra small," he muttered quietly somewhat embarrassed from his small stature.

Y/n had to process for a moment to make sure she heard it right.  Smiling a little bit she pulled out a golden hoodie, "It's only a small, but hopefully it'll work!" she said as she tossed the thick sweater to the man.

Aether seemed a bit confused on where she stored the sweater in her backpack, or why she had men-sized clothes in there but didn't ask. "Thanks," he mumbled as he slipped the over-grown sweater on.

with his oversized sweatshirt on Y/n felt that the sheer cold would probably affect Aether less. "Alrighty, sounds like we should be good to go now that you won't be freezing your dick off!" She said cheerfully quickly putting the backpack back on.

Leading them down south she stopped by the campsite at the base of the mountains. She then approached a woman with a black bob and classes who seemed to be in thought. The woman had adventuring attire on indicating her job there. After another minute she seemed to snap out of her thoughts as she noticed Y/n and the Traveler who now stood in front of her. "Oh, Y/n. Did you need something?" She asked assuming Katheryne or Jean had sent for her.

Y/n shook her head, "Nope, I'm taking this guy up the mountains. Any tips for us that we should know before heading up?" She asked casually.

Iris quickly answered, "Be wary of the cold. Dragonspine is a much more dangerous place than the rest of Monstadt. If you wanna mess about it'd be better to do it elsewhere. Your friend seems fine, however you..." Iris gazed at Y/n's attire hesitantly unsure if she was in a fit state to trek up the mountains.

Y/n was wearing a light f/c hoodie which would seem fine in most situations and some simple jeans as Monstadt rarely got cold enough to snow, much less freeze you. "Perhaps you should wear something a bit more suited for this?" Iris suggested.

Y/n shrugged, not knowing what kind of clothes she had stuffed in her bag in her century-long trip throughout Teyvat. "I mean, you're not wrong..." She muttered looking in her bag once more to see if she would have anything that'd work. After some digging, she found a burgundy trenchcoat that had been lined with fur. Slipping it on and quickly buttoning it up. Once she had the coat on she quickly found cream wooly gloves to use.
