Though Aether assumed Y/n had only been joining about the contract the next morning she'd found him and Paimon mid-commission. "Hey, so you ready to go pester Zhongli about that 'contract of ours?" She asked cheerfully, hugging her slime in her arms.

The blonde was a bit surprised as she tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. "Wait, you were serious about that?" He asked a bit surprised she was going through with it.

Y/n nodded jokingly, "Mhm, I mean I'm not one to let go of money that easily, plus. You already agreed, Paimon can act as my witness too." She stated casually gesturing to Paimon who had once again popped up next to Aether's shoulder.

Paimon seemed a bit hesitant but ended up nodding quickly, once Y/n gave her a slightly threatening glare. "Yeah, Paimon will be a witness!" She agreed excitedly.

Aether, seeing as he had ended up with both of them against him. He felt there wasn't much of a choice. Letting out an already exasperated sigh he finally nodded, "Fine, let's go..." He muttered as they began to make their way back towards the Harbor to find Zhongli.

Once at the harbor, they'd found Zhongli enjoying some tea in front of the story teller. Then again he was usually found there or at work most of the time. Noticing the group approaching them he raised a brow, "Hello there, did you require my assistance?" He asked wondering what they were getting up to.

Y/n answered quickly, "So, I don't know how to make contracts, neither does Aether, and Yanfei is harder to get ahold of. So who's better to pester for it but you? Nothing too important just trying to ext-" She cut herself off before carefully correcting, "I mean, finalize some details from Aether and I's agreement." Y/n answered casually as Zhongli looked between her and Aether from his seat.

"I see..." He murmured, though he was unsure as to why they wouldn't go to an actual attorney or someone who would be more fit to do this job. It wasn't like he was busy at the moment, and he could help the two out. "Then what is this contract of yours?" He asked.

Y/n replied quickly, "So basically  I'm traveling alongside Aether in return for some monetary payment." She answered before pausing for a moment, "I don't know how long it'll last or how much I'm getting paid..." She added trailing off a bit towards the end.

After some discussion Aether and Y/n agreed that Y/n would get paid 20k mora a month, and in return, she'd help him out both in puzzles and combat until she either died or he dismissed her. Zhongli and Paimon were there to act as witnesses just in case either of them would attempt to back out of it before the term was up. "With this agreement, you two are bound by this contract. If either of you attempts to flee from it, you will face the proper punishments." He stated calmly, solidifying the contract and informing both parties of the possibly dire consequences of breaking it.

Y/n nodded happily, mostly just in it for the money. "Great, thanks!" She said excitedly for the easy mora she'd just scammed Aether out of. However, before she had entirely left she then remembered. "Oh, and extra thanks for the statues of seven, shit saved me so many times." She called back to him before dragging Aether off to find Beidou.

As the Jade chamber had been destroyed, Y/n realized she didn't know where or how to find Ningguang. Paimon who had come to the same realization soon after frowned a little as she looked around feeling a bit lost. "Wait, wait, where do we find Ningguang?" She asked.

Y/n Thought about it before realizing she didn't really know either. Of course that just meant that she should probably just go off of what she remembered from the original game. "Shit, yeah, you're right." She muttered searching through her memory to find out where Beidou was through some cheating.

Aether thought for a while before suggesting, "We could ask around?" figuring it would probably be the best idea if they had no better leads.

Y/n shook her head, "Nah gimme a sec..." She muttered before finally remembering, "Alright, got it. We're about to become stowaways." She finally remembered where the Alcor was before realizing. 'Heyy, so could you help me out, just this once? I kinda sort of need to teleport over to the Alcor, and wind glider, but I sorta lost it when you took my storage space.' She pleaded, poking the slime. hoping he'd finally get the stick out of his ass, just this once.
