As the group stared out to sea Paimon finally hesitantly asked, "Is... Is it over?" glancing over to the adepti, hoping they would be more knowledgeable than her.
A moment of tension passed as the morning rays continued to light up the harbor. At least until Moon Carver confirmed, "Thew ominous aura of that monster has indeed begun to fade." firmly, as he looked back to Paimon.
After a slight sigh of relief from everyone, Ningguang stepped forward. "We are indebted to you for your assistance. If the adepti hadn't happened to be here, the future of liyue would've been in great jeopardy." She said sincerely grateful as she looked around to the adepti who'd come to their aid in their time of greatest desperation.
Cloud retainer seemed unaffected by her gratitude, "Thank Xiao, for we hadn't just 'happened' to be here." she said coldly staring back at Ningguang.
Y/n wanted to let them talk it out without her as she was far too tired to deal with whatever stupid political discussion they were gonna have. "Alrighty, I'm gonna go pass out for a few days now..." She muttered, hoping to just slip by before her legs decided to become jello.
Her legs nearly giving out, Aether quickly supported her, "Are you alright?" He asked, looking to her with concern.
"I'm not dead, so yeah," Y/n nodded tiredly, though the pain from the wounds she sustained finally kicked in. Thankfully it was still quite numb. Though in terms of her overall health it probably wasn't too great. "Hey Xiao, can you take me to a statue of seven?" She asked, knowing he wasn't going to question her about it too much.
The man gave a small nod as he took her from Aether, teleporting her back to the nearest statue of seven as the group began discussing some politics about the harbor and what would be done now.
Feeling the warmth of the archon's blessing seep into both her body and soul, mending her wounds and taking the edge off the exhaustion which had built up from the fight. Y/n let out a soft sigh of relief. "I'm gonna give Morax a hug next time I see him..." She muttered under her breath, thankful for the statue's habit of healing the wounded.
Xiao who was standing literally right next to her gave her a confused look. "You're going to do what?" He asked, taking a few steps away from her.
Y/n only shrugged, laughing at his dumbstruck face. "Yeah, gonna get down and dirty with him." she joked, doubling down just to mess with the short adepti. "Oh wait, does this heal the slime as well..?" She wondered taking the damaged slime out of her bag again, somewhat hoping it would've healed it.
However, when she looked at the slime she frowned, seeing that nothing had happened. "Damn... How the hell do you heal a slime?" She muttered a bit concerned about both her money and getting Avieer a new slime if they couldn't fix this one. 'Avi, do we need to get you another body?' She asked him silently.
His voice responded quickly, indicating that he'd not gone to sleep, unlike the slime. 'it should heal with time, though if you don't want to wait. We can grab another slime.' The voice seemed neutral on either way of her decision.
Xiao watched as Y/n squished the slime a bit, seeming to lightly test its well-being. "I'm sure it'll be alright," He muttered, feeling a bit bad for the girl as she seemed quite attached to her strange little pet.
Y/n was a little tempted to just kill the slime and get a new one. But knowing she no longer had access to monstadt to pester Albedo to make her another potion, she decided against it. "Yeah, he'll probably be fine. She muttered though clearly still a bit annoyed as she stared the slime down. 'seriously, did you have to slam me out of the way? It wouldn't have been the first time I'd have died.' She complained silently.
