Once getting to the arena, Y/n split up from Aether and Paimon to go and sign up. Queing up in the line she finally got to the front where she met the slightly exasperated woman. "Next please, what's your name?" she asked finishing jotting down the last person's name.

Stepping up Y/n answered, "Y/n L/n," She answered curtly, though she wasn't exactly known like Aether, she knew she could probably draw upon a few feats if she needed.

The woman glanced up to her and asked, "And you're known for..?" wondering why some random girl had signed up.

Y/n shrugged a bit, "Uh, I guess I trained under an adepti for a while." She shrugged slightly still carrying the slime in her arms.

The woman seemed unsure, asking, "Which one..?" trying to figure out who exactly Y/n was.

Y/n answered curtly, "Yaksha."  as she set the slime in her backpack so she would have her hands free for the actual fight. Some of the people around them who heard the conversation snickered a bit. Many knew just how antisocial many of the adepti were. It was hard to get in contact with one, much less train under one.

Though there was obvious doubt in her eyes, she still put Y/n's name down. "Well, alright..." She murmured. "Well, you're signed up, Y/n." Stepping aside, she considered if it was worth the murder. However, she figured it probably wouldn't be too great to get into a fight just yet.

Ignoring some of the jeers sent her way she then went on back to Aether. "Alrighty, I'm back." She said cheerfully as she walked up next to Aether.

The man glanced over to her and nodded, "Sounds, good how long until it starts?" He asked a bit impatient to get on his way to Inazuma.

Y/n shrugged a bit  "Didn't ask, she seemed a bit busy, and I'd rather not get kicked out for being a nuisance," She muttered, unsure of the answer. "I assume they'll say something eventually, though." She added casually, not too concerned about it.

After a while of waiting the qualifiers had finally started. Aether took Y/n's bag and Avi as she fought round after round. As Y/n's spot was dubious at best, she was placed towards the bottom of the brackets. Easily defeating opponent after opponent, typically in 3 moves or less as she was simply trying to get the tournament over with.

Grabbing onto her current opponent's leg and pushing them off balance she promptly said, "Surrender or you're getting axe kicked in the throat." bluntly as she stared down at the man whom she'd just pushed over. As she went through the tournament, people who'd been watching finally began to dread actually facing the woman in an actual fight. The man gave a small nod, not wanting to test if she would be making good on the threat.

With that, the h/c-headed woman had finally made her way into the semi-finals with ease. Walking back to Aether who was standing with Beidou and Kazuha, she called over. "They should've let me use my spear. I was actually looking forward to skewering a few of these fighters." Jokingly as she feigned disappointment.

Aether scowled a bit, "The point isn't to 'skewer people', it's just a show of strength." He replied, not wanting to have to deal with her blood thirst yet again.

Y/n rolled her eyes a bit, "And I'd show even more strength if I could at the very least hit people upside the head with my pokey stick." She rebutted playfully nudging him.

Beidou gave a simple laugh, listening to her playful complaints, "Sorry kiddo, but we can't have you majorly injuring the opponents." She replied roughly smacking Y/n on the back in a friendly way. To Beidou's surprise, Y/n wasn't affected by the admittedly harsh slap, most sailors tended to at least stumble a bit whenever the woman 'patted' them.
