Just an Ordinary Life?

It'd been a few days since Y/n began working for the Inn. Once again, she managed to force Xiao into helping her train to become even stronger without elemental abilities. Thanks to these two things Y/n very rarely got to have any free time that wasn't dedicated to her basic needs. However, she finally managed to find some. 'negotiating' her way up the abyss order she finally got ahold of Lumine. 

"And what possessed you to think that continuously beating my people half to death what the proper way to get me to come here?" Lumine asked as she stepped out of the portal, glaring at Y/n. 

Y/n shrugged vaguely, "They're fine, I just made them a bit tougher. Anyways, about Aether, I'm gonna have to call our deal off." She began rambling, not knowing how else to tell Lumine. 

The blonde gave her a curious look, "Then shall I just kill you now? After all, you're the one who stated, 'The deal ends when I die'." She reminded Y/n, who couldn't help but cringe a bit knowing she probably said that.

"Okay, but that was before I set Monstadt on fire for like a day and a half!" She pointed out quickly. "Plus, he's gonna find you soon with Dainsleif if I didn't fuck shit up again." She added lightly. "Anyways, now that I've informed you, and told you everything I know that's important, you're not going to kill me now that the deals over with. Right??" She said cautiously, making sure to emphasize her points. 

Lumine still didn't seem like she was entirely sure if she was going to kill Y/n yet. "Oh come on, I'd say I haven't even done anything to upset you?!" Y/n groaned out in annoyance. 

Lumine sighed impatiently, not having the time to deal with Y/n. "Fine, go. I need to figure out how to get rid of that pest anyways." She said under her breath now more pissed that Dainsleif had contacted Aether. Walking back into the Abyssal portal Y/n was once again left alone. 

"Well, that went better than initially anticipated," Y/n murmured as she began to walk back to the inn. She'd fully expected Lumine to simply kill her out of annoyance or something. 

The next afternoon Y/n was once again standing at the receptionist feeling dead tired. thanks to training with Xiao all morning and staying up extra late the previous night. "8 hours left... still." She glanced over to the clock's hour hand which was still pointing at the three. Just like the last time she checked, 4 minutes ago. I'm gonna jump off a bridge to get the elemental abilities back. This is excruciating. She whined internally while waiting for anyone to check-in or out. Hell, she wouldn't even mind it if she had to go fight Osial right about now, at least it wouldn't be nearly as boring. 

Another hour and a half passed before a customer finally walked in. Y/n who was staring blankly at the ground in front of the desk, counting how many wood boards were in the floor quickly looked up to greet them. "Hi- wait fuck, shit I lost count god dammit." She began complaining  begreivedly before finally realizing that the two who were stood in front of her were Scaramouche and Childe. What next? Aether, jean and Venti come after my felony having ass. She thought incredulously. After letting out a sigh Y/n finally put up her customer service facade, "Hello there! How may I assist you?" She said in an overly cheery voice. 

"...Y/n...!?" Both said finding it hard to believe what they were seeing.

"Wait, you know her?!" Childe's gaze quickly snapped to Scaramouche. 

Before Scaramouche could reply Y/n quickly glared at Childe, "Oi Ed Sheeran lookalike, there are only two people who should know better then you that I don't fucking die," She pointed out flatly before beginning to count on her fingers as she listed the two, "Aether, and x-" She realized that saying 'xiao' would summon him. "The vigilant Yaksha" She corrected herself in a mocking tone. She then looked at Scaramouche. "Kuni-"
