In the asscrack of the morning, Y/n woke up to a loud clap of thunder, shaking the earth as the lightning probably hit some poor tree. Snapping awake she looked out the window to see that it was still downpouring. "What time is it?" She mumbled tiredly as she drowsily looked around the pitch-black room.

"2 AM." Avi answered curtly, having also woken up from the thunder. "Go back to bed." He added, before going quiet again, following his own advice.

Y/n nodded slightly as she pulled the covers over her head to try and block out the occasional thunder and lightning. Thankfully once she got back to sleep, she managed to stay asleep before waking up two hours later for the morning training.

Unsurprisingly as she forced herself awake, the rain hadn't let up. "It's still raining?" She grumbled already knowing the day was about to be miserable.

Once ready for the day, she stepped out of her room once again meeting Scaramouche who seemed to have gotten back from something. Looking at the purple-haired man suspiciously, Y/n asked, "What're you doing up this early?" She asked curiously.

Scaramouche answered vaguely, "Work," as he walked passed her to go back to his hotel room before Y/n could ask any more.

Y/n considered pressing him for more information, but decided against it, figuring it wasn't worth it. "Somebody is grumpy." She mumbled as she moved on with her life.

Meeting up with Xiao right next to the door she shot her shot in an attempt to maybe skip, as the rain didn't look like it was going to be letting up any time soon. "So can we skip todqay?" She asked with a small yawn.

Xiao shook his head, "No, but I had Cloud Retainer make some weighted accessories in order to get your strength up." He said handing her a pair of bracelets and anklets. As Y/n received them she felt her arms nearly drop-down under the weight.

"What the fuck?" She asked as she put them on under his scrutinizing gaze. "I can barely lift my arms and legs with these." She complained looking back at him with a scowl

Xiao ignored her complaints simply pointing out, "That's why I gave them to you." Y/n sighed once again finding herself regretting ever asking Xiao for help. "I already told Verr Goldet to ensure that you have them on at all times." He added informatively, earning himself a sharp look from the girl.

"I hope you stub your toe in the middle of the night on a door frame." She muttered. From there, Y/n began to try and do her best to acclimate to the sudden weights from the bracelets. As she shook her hands she noticed that the bracelets seemed to have evenly weighed down the entirety of her arm.

Watching Y/n begin to get accustomed to her new restraints Xiao decided to add in, "As for core strength, Aether has already agreed to be a weight for any pushups or planking."  casually before quickly moving on not wanting to deal with the variety of complaints that were about to spill out of the h/c-nette's mouth. "Now that we've gone through your new parameters, 40 laps around Liyue; eliminate any threats to travelers." He instructed, "Oh, and if you haven't gotten it done by the time raises, we'll be skipping breakfast." He added punishment to get her more invested in completing the goal he set.

Y/n glared at him miserably, "This is inhumane," She complained, glancing out to the rain.

Xiao ignored her complaint and simply suggested, "I would start now if I were you." Y/n threw several strings of curses at him as she took off, not wanting to lose her breakfast rights.

Xiao followed along, making sure she was actually following the parameters set. Y/n managed to just barely complete the goal feeling like death itself as she hobbled into the Inn. Though she did end up cutting into the mealtime somewhat, she didn't care too much as she devoured as much as she could within the shorter timespan.
