Seeking the Adeptal Fellows

They set away from the Inn Y/n still feeling awkward didn't say much as they began to make the journey away to the mountainous region of Liyue. After around 10 minutes Xiao broke the silence with a calm but stern demand for some answers, "So, Y/n. Mind explaining to me what happened?" He stated not looking back at her. 

Y/n tensed up slightly as she tried to configure a sentence that would get her the best outcome. "Uh, well, you see..." She began slowly as her mind raced for better answers. "You sent me to Oceanid on my own. She summoned the flying shits I died, and uh now I'm alive..." She explained vaguely.

Aether found himself confused with her explanation. Xiao simply said, "Explain it well, Y/n." He didn't sound pleased.

Y/n continued to procrastinate with 'uhh's and 'well's. "You see, uh After I died I respawned and explored a bit, then died again, and then I spawned in again like a little over a year ago now." She said with a bit more detail hoping it would appease the pissed-off Yaksha.

It did not. "Y/n." They said turning to look the girl in the eyes. "I didn't ask for you to beat around the bush. Now explain it properly." He coldly stared into her soul as he demanded a better explanation. 

Paimon and Aether quietly watched, not wanting to interfere as they too wanted some answers. Y/n let out an exasperated sigh knowing already she owed him an explanation, "...okay, so. It's a long story... I'll tell you while we're on the way." She mumbled accepting her fate.

They agreed and she began her story with, "So, I think I met a god who isn't an archon. We made a little deal and I got plopped in Inazuma." she began recounting her time in Inazuma. "I was mostly just doing mundane shit while figuring out how the fuck to use a catalyst. Oh, and also I nabbed my fake visions from there too." Sher explained.

"In Inazuma, I met Scaramouche, the harbinger dude who was just a vagabond. I died tryna get out of the place though, and I doubt he'd remember me anyways..." She tacked on at the end of her Inazuman time before giving it a little rating, " 3/10, the best thing they got there is like a 3rd of the population," She commented jokingly before moving on to the next 'life'. 

"Then I got fucking dropped into Qingce village, lived there for a while, and then I met you, Xiao, and as you know. I forced you into teaching me how to use polearms." She breezed over the life as it was the one that Xiao would know of the most. "You sent me to solo Oceanid. I died, because I didn't have a catalyst, shocker, and I assume you found my corpse." She muttered out her death, "6/10, less being sent to the one thing I can't beat on my own."

Xiao nodded along, "Yeah, I'll be sure to send you with Ganyu next time," Xiao muttered bitterly at the end of her liyue story feeling a little guilty. 

"After that, I got chucked on into the nice old nation of Fontaine. Thanks to having already grabbed Anemo while living with the Qingce villagers I was pretty good in terms of traveling. So that's exactly what I did, travel and gather the rest of the elements." She paused as she continued to try to remember if she did anything else of use in the 3rd life. "Oh, shit also I got Avi in that life too. He was a cryo slime though, so I especially kept him away from Albedo." She added as the group neared the base of the mountains. "Died from hypothermia 8/10 Snezhnaya's cold is a pain in the ass." she rated her third life jokingly.

"And now we're here!" she ended her story. as they looked up the sheer drop. "You guys need a breeze?" She offered for the two who couldn't take off. Xiao didn't accept her offer as he disappeared. "I forgot he could do that," Y/n muttered quietly as she lifted herself and aether with the wind. 

Feeling lazy Y/n just glided to Mt. Aocong, leading the way for Aether and Paimon. Xiao was already waiting on them when they finally landed. "You're slow." He commented.
