After arriving at the Inn Avieer, surprisingly still had not returned to the slime. By now he'd taken off his mask and hood. Y/n saltily pointed out, "Anyways, you're not gonna kill me right?" She asked warily.
Avieer paused for a moment, genuinely considering the possibility, "Not unless you somehow manage to get yourself into even more shit." He stated flatly. "Anyways, we'll discuss later, I'm gonna get a room. Don't try running away." He suggested. Handing over the weirdly passive slime to Y/n he then went into the Inn.
Y/n watched him for a second before complaining promptly to the slime. "Man, it's like he has no trust in me, what happened to the literal centuries we've spent together?" She murmured saltily. The slime, obviously, didn't reply to her complaints. "Plus, it wasn't like Hopkins didn't have it coming, man more of a prick than Kaeya and nowhere near hot enough to compensate." She sighed dramatically.
After another bit of thinking, she remembered, that she should probably contact Lumine to inform her that the deal would be off. How the hell do you even manage that in the first place? She wondered a bit annoyed. "Maybe I should stab a mage or something?" She mumbled.
While still in thought Avieer snapped her out of it, "Hey, we've got a room." He informed her casually whilst trading the keys for the slime. She nodded and the two quickly went to the room.
Y/n flopped down on the bed while Avi reverted to getting comfy back in the slime. "Can I sleep for now?" She asked tiredly. It was 10 till two in the morning and Y/n was dead tired.
Avieer agreed quickly, "Sure, go ahead." He muttered quietly. Y/n was probably going to fall asleep either way, as she quickly slipped into sleep while Avieer put out the candle which had softly lit the dark room.
However, instead of dreamless sleep or even some strange dream, Y/n found herself back in the white void she'd always found herself in when her body had died. "Fucking SHIT!" She snapped looking around the rather bland area. Quickly spotting Avieer she immediately began complaining. "Avi, what the fuck?" She whined in annoyance. "I thought you were going to let me sleep, why am I dead?"
Avieer looked down at her, "You're not dead yet, so stop complaining." He stated flatly.
Y/n was quick to catch onto that 'yet'. "Yet?! I thought you'd set that idea aside" She pointed out in annoyance, glaring at the man.
Avieer shrugged not paying too much attention to her annoyance, "I've yet to decide on whether you'll be killed and kept here for however long, or if I should go to a different route." He stated indifferently glancing at her and making direct eye contact. "Anyways, I feel like you should explain how you managed to land yourself in jail within my short period of absence?" He suggested a way she avoids a death.
Y/n realized, yeah no she probably was in the wrong in that particular aspect of their conversation. However, this did not mean that she would admit it. "You're complaining about my absence when you literally exploded like 5 people?" She pointed out pettily.
Avieer was quick to correct her, "Fifteen, and unless you wish to follow in their footsteps I'd suggest you start explaining yourself instead of complaining." After his cold statement, there was a slight hesitation as Y/n broke eye contact and paused.
"That's toxic." She mumbled saltily as she crossed her arms defensively. "Plus, I thought you were some sort of pacifist." She added on quickly.
Avieer shook his head, "No, I've never been a pacifist, there simply has been a time that I needed to enter combat with anyone." He shrugged in indifference as he explained before prompting her again in a cold tone, "Now, explain, from the beginning preferably."
