The next day Aether and Paimon decided to do some good old exploring and commissions as they had gotten some free time. Meanwhile, Y/n had gone into full tourist mode once she helped the blonde finish his commissions.

While Y/n was fully aware that Today was the day Thoma was going to get mugged by the Shogun, she didn't care too much, assuming it was going to go as it had in the game. Aether and Y/n agreed to meet up at the teahouse at noon, leaving her free to wander around freely.

Holding her slime in her arms as Y/n strolled around leisurely, she decided to grab a snack. Stopping by a food stall, and getting herself a Dango milk. Casually sipping the sweet-tasting beverage as she continued. Eventually, she saw a mask stall ahead of them. "Avi, time for us to get some matching masks!" She said cheerfully.

Quickly finishing off the milk and finding a trash bin for it, she then walked up to the stall, getting the attention of the man who was manning the shop. "Oh, hello there, would you like a mask?" He asked politely, looking at the woman. Though he quickly noticed the fact that she had Avi in her arms, he assumed it was fine as the slime didn't seem to be struggling.

Y/n gave a small nod as she browsed the rack which displayed the masks. "Yeah, how much would two cost?" She asked, glancing back at the man. "And do you think it would fit a slime?" She added curiously.

The man thought for a moment, unsurprisingly, no one had really attempted to purchase a mask for a slime, however as the slime was spherical, he assumed it would probably work, "I believe it should work, though I can't guarantee anything, Miss." He answered honestly.

Y/n hummed thoughtfully before deciding to do it anyways. After all, having an extra mask could always be fun to keep on her. "That's fine, how much should it cost?" She asked again.

The man quickly did some mental math before replying, "1,000 mora, please." Y/n handed over the mora quickly as she continued to browse the mask still trying to find a pair that struck her fancy.

In the end, Y/n ended up getting one shorter mask with a simple but cohesive design and a longer make with more intricate designs. Both of the masks were clearly high quality. Once picking the masks the man gave her a quick thanks for the Purchase and Y/n continued her walk.

Setting Avi down on a bench, she then put on the simpler mask. Once it was secured onto her head safely she then took out the more ornate mask and carefully tied it around her slime. "There, now people will know you're not a normal slime!" She said, satisfied with her purchase, looking at the mask which had been situated on the side of the head so the slime could still see.

Avi didn't seem to mind the mask too much, commenting, "I'm surprised this actually somewhat fits..." looking back up to Y/n from the bench.

Y/n nodded in agreement as she plopped down next to the slime. "Better than that stupid blank mask of yours from before, isn't it?" She teased.

The slime gave a small sigh, "All I needed was something to keep my face hidden." He replied flatly.

Y/n didn't buy it giving a sarcastic hum of agreement, "Sure, so instead you use the uncreative ass blank mask." She muttered sarcastically, watching as people walked by. A few of whom gave her a strange look for talking with a slime.

Avi ignored her sarcasm, with a calm, "If it works, it's fine." Not minding the 'lack of creativity'. He then reminded Y/n, "By the way, it's almost noon, shouldn't you be going back to the teahouse?"

Realizing he was right, Y/n quickly nodded, "Yep, yep, let's go." grabbing him back up into her arms as she got back up and began walking back to the Teahouse to meet up with the blonde.
