The Komore Teahouse

The first thing the next morning Aether returned to the teapot gifted by Madame Ping in the hotel room. From there Paimon accompanied Y/n to the gates, disappearing before the guards could see the floating girl. Only seeing Y/n carrying her pet slime in her arms as she approached for the second time. Coincidentally the same guard was posted. Recognizing the girl, he asked, "Did you get the traveling permit?" looking down at her.

Y/n nodded letting Avi float back to the ground as she grabbed the permit from her bag. "Yep, here you go! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction yesterday!" She said cheerfully giving the permit to the man so he could check it over.

The guard looked at it, carefully examining it just in case she'd somehow forged the permit. After verifying its authenticity she was finally allowed through without too much of an issue. Once bypassing and finally getting to the teleport point she took out the teapot, knocking on it slightly. "Coast is clear." She informed lifting the lid off the teapot.

A moment after the lift was lifted Aether immediately appeared exiting the teapot. "I'm surprised that worked so well..." He muttered as Paimon reappeared.

Y/n nodded a bit before pointing at the teleport point. "Thankfully, anyways, get the teleport point, and let's go." She said bluntly as she looked around at the vaguely familiar landscape.

Aether gave a little nod, connecting himself to the teleport beacon before they began to make their way back towards the town, Y/n forcing him to grab the checkpoints along the way. Until finally the group arrived at the teahouse, just in time for lunch. 

However before they entered, they were stopped as the assistant came out to stop them.  "Sorry, we don't serve the general public. I'm afraid you'll have to leave." The woman said politely as she looked at the three of them.

Paimon hurriedly tried to correct the woman, "Wait, wait, we're not the general public-" however she was interrupted before she could entirely explain who they were.

"Well then, judging from your attire, you must be a couple of wandering outlanders that snuck into the nation." She said a tinge of disdain lacing her voice as she examined their reactions.

Paimon frowned, wondering if they really did look weird, Y/n on the other hand, lightly punched Aether on the arm, "Did you get Thoma's invite or are we going to have to commit a crime?" She asked just quietly enough to be inaudible to the woman. 

Aether quickly checked his pockets before finally finding the invitation letter from Thoma, "Oh, right, here's our invitation letter." He said, handing it over to the woman.

The lady looked it over thoughtfully before finally nodding, "Hmm, the Yashiro commission's seal... this must be from Mr. Thoma. It seems there's more to you than meets the eye." She murmured, pocketing the invitation so no one else could try to use it. She then looked back to the group, and with a much more polite smile welcomed them, "Welcome to the Komore Teahouse, a safe haven for the Yashiro Commission."

Finally inside the teahouse after more effort than it was worth, they were greeted by a Shiba who sat on the counter. However, there was no Thoma to be spoken of. Of course, Y/n was immediately distracted by the fluffy dog which sat lazily on the counter, rushing up to it before squishing his face. "Oh, who's the goodest boy? Who's the best boy in existence?" She asked in a baby voice, kissing the dog's nose.

As she loved on the dog she noticed Thoma's blonde hair behind the counter. Of course, she was too preoccupied with giving the dog as much love as she could physically muster to point him out.

While Y/n loved on the Shiba, Paimon continued to look around perplexed. "Wait, but where's Thoma? Did he forget?" She wondered out loud finally looking back to Aether to see if he'd noticed anything.
