The Night fairies flew in a haphazard line, a bit wonky because they were drunk, taking them further into the forest alongside the narrow stream. Moonlight shone on the green leaves surrounding them, waking this world appear almost black and shimmering.

The water nymphs were accompanying them in the water, rising up above the surface and diving down to swim with them. Onwards through the forest and the sound of the water was getting louder and louder. Rumi was clinging onto Wei Ying who was reassuring him step by step.

"Don't worry, my boy, I have you. There's no way I'm letting that water get near you." He kept his lips pressed against the little boy's temple.

The forest opened abruptly onto a midnight lagoon and a huge waterfall.

One of the night fairies flew down to Wei Ying.

"There, behind the waterfall there is a cave. Your friend may rest there."

Then while Dunshi jumped into the water, creating a mini tidal wave, Dashi wanted to follow him and the sisters had a hard time trying to convince him otherwise, all the night fairies gathered together excitedly chirping and chatting together. Then the same one as before flew down to Wei Ying again.

"Can we take the mini human and the demon baby up there? They're the only ones light enough to sleep with us."

Li XiWang was excited and already clapping her hands, and because she looked happy about it, Rumi wanted to go as well. The night fairies flew up into the trees and suddenly they let down a ladder made from vines with flowers woven in between.

"Climb up! Climb up!" They called down to the children.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan kissed them both and let them go, although Wei Ying privately thought Rumi was going because it was the furthest away from the body of water.

"Wait! Wait!" The fairies threw something else at them, and Wei Ying caught the bundle with his fast reflexes.

"What is this?" He called up to them.

"It's a tent!" They shouted and laughed out loud, blushing. "So you don't have to sleep with them!" They pointed to their companions and hid among the trees.

"Wow weee! Lan Zhan! Guess what this means?" Wei Ying waggled his eyebrows suggestively.

Lan Zhan snatched the bundle and erected the tent immediately. Meanwhile, Dashi had thwarted the Flowers of Venus and got himself drenched, laughing and clapping hysterically while Dunshi headed straight for the waterfall, yawning.

"Master Wei, we will keep an eye on both of them!" Hongse called out.

Wei Ying waved back enthusiastically and took Lan Zhan's hand, entering the tent.

And they were in for a big surprise because the tent was huge on the inside, split into two parts. One part was a huge bathroom with a massive tub and the other part was a huge bed. Wei Ying ran and jumped onto the bed with glee.

"Lan Zhan!! A bed!! For real!! Aren't you glad we helped the night fairies now?" He rolled over onto his side and leaned his head on his arm, watching Lan Zhan take off his outer robes.

"Mn."

"I'm so excited I don't know what I want to do first, bathe or sleep."

Lan Zhan snorted. "Bathing normally comes first."

Wei Ying pouted. "Only if you get in with me."

"Mn." Lan Zhan went to run the bath.

Wei Ying decided to explore. He found a bag which upon opening, revealed all kinds of delicacies to eat. He picked a steamed bun and tore it in half to share with his husband. Lan Zhan was testing the heat of the water, waiting for the tub to fill. Wei Ying held out the treat next to lips, delighting in the way Lan Zhan took a bigger bite on purpose so his lips could caress Wei Ying's fingers, making him shiver.

"What's in that cupboard?" Wei Ying went to investigate and found all manner of essential oils.

He picked the one that he most loved and poured a generous amount in. Lan Zhan smiled when he caught a whiff.

"What? I like smelling of you." Wei Ying blushed adorably.

He ran and got another bun to feed Lan Zhan.

Lan Zhan had taken off his outer robe, so he was standing bare chested when Wei Ying came back.

They barely noticed the little critters who came and collected his clothes.

"Oh my!" Silver eyes clashed with gold, as desire began to burn within both.

Lan Zhan lifted a single finger and crooked it. Almost as if there was an invisible line he was pulling, Wei Ying was powerless not to go; his feet walked the steps whether he willed it or no until he was standing in front of the most gorgeous man alive. Wei Ying swallowed hard.

Lan Zhan took the sweet bun, plucking it from his fingertips and biting it in the middle, keeping his lips in the centre and offering the rest to a wide-eyed husband watching in awe.

Wei Ying let their lips meet around the sweet pastry, wanting more contact and wishing the pastry wasn't there...but this was so hot!!

And while he had been concentrating on the food, those magical, calloused fingers had untied his robes and slid under the fabric, tracing the line of his collar bones. The robe fell away as the fingers pushed the soft material aside and Wei Ying shivered. Their trousers were next and then Lan Zhan got into the tub. He remained standing and held a hand out to Wei Ying, who felt like he was in a trance.

By itself, his hand reached to hold onto the lovely man who cared so much about him. Together they sat in the warm waters, letting their tired muscles soak and their worries drift away.
