Jenny unlocked the door to the motel room, opening the door to darkness. "I'm just saying, Samurai. World Of Warcraft isn't something to be embarrassed about."

"Well it is when you two keep buggin me about it." Sam grumbled as Dean and Jenny chuckled. The woman suddenly paused, whipping her gun out at the silhouette of a man sitting on Sam's bed.

"Hands up!" She yelled, Sam and Dean looking over her shoulder before taking their own guns out.

Sam turned on the light to the room, Jenny's eyes widening as the man looked at them.

"John?"

"Dad?" The trio spoke in unison, all stuffing their guns away.

"Hey guys." Dean walked over to his dad, pulling him into a tight hug. Jenny just stared at him in shock, unsure if she wanted to hug him, or punch him square in the nose.

After the he and Dean had let go, John looked over to Sam. "Hi, Sam." He smiled, Sam returning the gesture.

"Hey, Dad." John turned to Jenny, who slowly approached him. John pulled her into a hug, Jenny smiling softly.

"It's good to see you, Jenny." He chuckled, and Jenny scoffed quietly.

"Yeah. Yeah, it's good to see you, too." The two let go, Jenny standing next to Dean.

"Dad, it was a trap. I didn't know, I'm sorry." Dean apologized, and his father shook his head

"It's all right. I thought it might've been." John spoke, patted Dean's shoulder.

"Were you there?" Dean frowned.

"Yeah, I got there just in time to see the girl take the swan dive. She was the bad guy, right?" John questioned and Jenny scoffed, nodding.

"Yeah. One hell of a bad guy." She shook her head, stuffing her hands in her pockets.

"Good. Well, it doesn't surprise me. It's tried to stop me before."

"The demon has?" Sam quirked a brow suspiciously.

"It knows I'm close. It knows I'm gonna kill it. Not just exorcise it or send it back to hell—actually kill it."

"How?" Dean asked. In return, John smiled.

"I'm workin' on that."

"Let us come with you. We'll help." Dean turned to Sam, giving him a warning look before John shook his head.

"No, Sam. Not yet. Just try to understand. This demon is a scary son of a bitch. I don't want you caught in a crossfire. I don't want you hurt."

"Dad, you don't have to worry about us."

"Of course I do. I'm your father." John paused, turning to his youngest son. "Listen, Sammy, last time we were together, we had one hell of a fight."

"Yes, sir." Sam answered quietly, looking down for a moment.

"It's good to see you again. It's been a long time." John chuckled, and Sam nodded.

"Too long." The two embraced, and after a moment, broke apart. The four looked at one another tearfully, still smiling.

All of a sudden, the spirit demon appeared behind John, throwing him across the room. "Dad!" Sam and Dean yelled as Jenny ran to the bag of weapons Sam had left by the door, taking out a flare.

"Sam!?" Dean ran to his brothers side as Jenny.

"Shut your eyes!" Jenny ordered, looking at the spirit demon as it tossed Dean and Sam to the side, stalking towards her. Jenny lit the flare, throwing it at the demon and covered her eyes as smoke filled the room, followed by a white light.

After a moment, Jenny started coughing aggressively as she inhaled the smoke, waving her arms around as she squinted. "Dean? Sam?"

"We're over here!" Dean called out as Jenny crawled around, trying to find the three Winchesters.

"Shit!" She grimaced, holding her hand up to see a shard of glass, frowning in confusion. "Who the hell broke a beer bottle?!"

Dean tripped over Jenny, both of whom toppled over each other. "Dammit!" They both snapped, the two reaching out for one another. "Where's John and Sam?"

"They're outside. C'mon." Dean froze as Jenny grabbed him with her bleeding hand. "You hurt?"

"I'll be fine. Let's get out of here before our lungs turn into coal." Dean and Jenny ran out of the motel room, still coughing aggressively.

Sam was holding the bag of weapons, Jenny leaned over herself as she continued to cough. "God dammit." She mumbled, wiping her mouth.

"You three alright?" John asked. Jenny turned to Dean, who had a cut on his forehead, trickling down his nose. Sam still had the scratches from earlier in the night, blood dried against his cheek. John had a small cut on his face.

"I'll be okay." Jenny spoke, looking down at her hand coated in blood. Dean glanced at her cautiously.

After a moment, the four started to walk down the alley to the Impala. "All right, come on. We don't have much time. As soon as the flare's out, they'll be back." Sam started as he opened the back door of the Impala, tossing the weapons bag onto the ground.

"Wait, wait, wait! Sam, wait." Sam shut the door, he and Jenny turning to Dean in confusion. The older Winchester brother turned to his dad. "Dad, you can't come with us."

"What? What are you talkin' about?" Sam asked, him and Jenny sharing an odd look.

"You three— you're beat to hell." John commented, and Jenny looked down for a moment.

"We'll be all right." Dean said, Sam stepping forward.

"Dean, we should stick together. We'll go after those demons—"

"Sam! Listen to me!" Dean yelled, his brothers eyes widening. "We almost got Dad killed in there. Don't you understand? They're not gonna stop. They're gonna try again. They're gonna use us to get to him. I mean, Meg was right. Dad's vulnerable when he's with us. He— he's stronger without us around." Jenny's frown hardened as the confusion continued to settle in.

"Dad— no." Sam put a hand on his dad's shoulder, Dean and Jenny tearing up. "After everything— after all the time we spent lookin' for you— please. I gotta be a part of this fight."

"Sammy, this fight is just starting. And we are all gonna have a part to play. For now, you've got to trust me, son." The four were silent for a moment. Sam patted his dad's shoulder slowly, the younger Hunters watching as John hopped into his truck.

John turned to Jenny, smiling. "Take care of them, all right?" Jenny hummed in amusement, giving him a half-hearted smile.

"I'll try." Her voice broke, watching as the man she had spent the last several months looking for drove off.

After another moment, the three got into the Impala, Jenny watching as John rounded a corner, disappearing once again.

The three young Hunters shared a knowing look before Dean started up the car, driving the opposite direction of his father.

so obviously we can tell Jenny and John have an okay relationship. might be rocky with Jenny confused on how she wanted to interact with John. But oh well we'll get more of them soon... and then he'll die.
