16 Weeks

A few days later, Danny gets a call from Ryan.

"Hello?"

"Hey Dan, I don't mean to interrupt y'all's vacation but I wanted to let you both know that Paleyfest is a week from Sunday, will y'all be able to make it?"

"Yeah, we'll be there!"

"Great!  How's the momma doing?" Ryan asks.

"She's doing great, growing!"

"Aw, I can't wait till y'all get back, I wanna see that baby bump!"

"Ryan, it's the cutest!"

"I bet it is!  Well I better let you get back to your beautiful bride, see y'all when you get back... Tell Jessica I said hi and I love her!"

"Will do Ryan!  Bye!"

He hangs up and Jessica looks at him with her puckered up lips and asks,
"Were y'all talking about my belly?"
"Haha we sure were, Babydoll.  He wants to see your bump and I told him it's the cutest!"
"Well thanks!  What did he call for? I mean I'm assuming he didn't call just to talk about how big I am!" She says with her cute chuckle.
"Haha, first of all you're not big!  And no he called me to let me know that Paleyfest is a week from Sunday, and he wanted to know if we were going.  I told him yes, is that alright?"
"Of course!  Guess what today is!!" She says with a smile.
"What Babydoll?" He asks smiling at her with love in his eyes.
"I'm 16 weeks pregnant today!"
"Oh my gosh, we're almost to the halfway point!"
"Yeah look what my pregnancy app says this week." She says getting her phone out.

"Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double it's weight and add inches to it's length. Right now, it's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. It's legs are much more developed, it's head is more erect than it has been, and it's eyes have moved closer to the front of it's head. It's ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of it's scalp has begun, though it's locks aren't recognizable yet. They've even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, it's heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop."

"Isn't that cute?!  A little avocado baby!" She says with a big smile.
"That's amazing!  Your  belly's gonna grow, Jessie!" He says standing up, walking over to her and gets on his knees to rub her belly.

"I read that you're supposed to talk to the baby, by now they can hear everything." Danny tells her.
"Hi baby!  It's daddy!" He says with his hand on Jessica's belly.
"You grow and be nice to your momma, she's the most wonderful woman you'll ever meet! 
I can't wait to meet you, hopefully you'll have your mommy's good looks... And hopefully not your daddy's big head." He says looking up to Jessica giving her a smile and shrugging his shoulders.
She laughs and says,
"Yeah I hope they don't have your big head either!"

Danny stands up, pick her up and lays her on the bed.
"Danny, what are you doing?  I need to finish packing."
"Don't move a muscle!  You're creating a person, the least I could do is pack a suitcase"
He says kissing her forehead, then her belly to kiss the baby.
"Well aren't you cute?" She says.
"Well I try!" He says walking over to grab the suitcase, while doing that he shakes his butt towards Jessica.
"Haha, that ass though!"
"Oh you like that?" He asks, he loved joking around with her.
"Well let me bend over and pick this up." He says bending over to sticks his butt in the air.
Jessica claps, "Haha, Danny you're hilarious!"
He turns around runs towards the bed and jumps on it,
Landing on the opposite side of Jessica.
"I love you, do you know that?" Jessica says while giving him butterfly kisses with her cute little scrunched up nose, and holding the sides of his face.
"I do, but do you know that I love you more?" He asks pushing out his lips for one quick kiss.
"Umm... I don't think so!" Jessica says in a high pitched voice.
"Haha, you sound so cute!  But I'm serious... I love you more!"
"Okay, fine!" She says with a giggle.

"After we check out we have time to go grab a bite to eat before our flight." Danny says.
"Okay great, I'm starving!" She says rubbing her stomach.

They check out and go to lunch, after they order Jessica says,
"Oh I forgot to check on Lola this morning!  Let me call Sarah."

"Hello?" Sarah answers

"Hey Sarah, how's my baby doing?"

"I'm good, how are you?"

"Haha you're such an idiot, how's my Lola?"

Sarah laughs and says, "Shes doing great!  Missing her mommy and daddy though probably."

"Aw well, we'll be there at like 11:00 a.m your time tomorrow morning."

"Yay!  Can't wait to see your belly, has it grown at all in a week?"

"Yeah, a little bit.  I'm supposed to hit a growth spurt within the next few weeks!"

"Oh how cool!  You're gonna be so cute with a big belly Jess!"

"Haha, well thank you."

"I'll, let you go get back to your man!  Tell Danny I said hi and y'all have a nice flight!."

"Will do, bye Sarah!"

"Bye Jess!"

She hangs up in time for their food to get there.

They eat and head to the airport.

Before stepping on the plane Danny takes her hands and looks into her eyes,
"Jessica, baby... I love you so much, this week has been amazing... Just when I think I can't love you anymore than I already do, you prove me wrong.  I'll never stop loving you Jessica Lange!"
"Aw Danny, I love you too!  I'm so blessed to have found you, thank you for taking me on this wonderful adventure.  I've had more fun with you the time we've been together, then I've had in my entire life."
"I love you Ms. Lange." He says leaning in for a kiss.
"I love you too, Mr. Huston." Their lips touch, and they share a deep passionate kiss.
