Two fools in love

Sick baby

After the dinner they went went back to the hotel.

"Mommy I feel sick." Gabriella pouts.
"What's wrong baby?" Jessica grabs her little face in her hand. 
"It hurts."
"What hurts?"
"My neck!" She points to her throat.
"Oh your throat hurts!  Oh Gabby, I hope you're not getting sick!" Jessica says.

"What's wrong?" Danny asks walking into the room.
"She doesn't feel well."
"Awe poor baby.  Should I go and see if I can find some medicine?"
"Yeah just bring some baby Motrin... And get me a snack!"

Danny left and Jessica striped Gabriella into just a pull up.
She knew she was sick because she wasn't jumping around, she just laid on the bed.
"Gabriella, you're burning up!" She touches her forehead.
"Mommy I'm cold!  I need my blanky!"
"I know you're cold but being under a blanket is only gonna make it worse.

Gabriella whines and cries.
Jessica gets a wet wash cloth and puts it on her forehead to try and break the fever.

Danny gets back with medicine, a thermometer and a snack for Jessica.
"Aw look at the pitiful thing!" Danny frowns staring at Gabriella laid out on the bed.

They stay up all night with her.
"Gabby, try and go to sleep."
"I can't!" She whines.
"How about if daddy reads you a story?"
"Okay!" She gives him a smile with her weak little eyes.

Danny gets out her favorite book, Jessica leans back and Gabriella lays her head on her stomach while Danny sits in front of them and reads the story.

She sucks her thumb and holds her blanky while Jessica rubs her back.

Jessica smiles at Danny as he reads to them and looks down at Gabriella laying on her belly, it made her get a warm and happy feeling.

Throughout the whole night Gabriella was very restless and none of them got much sleep.

Gabby's fever had broke but she had a sore throat and a runny nose.
"Come here Gabby, you have to take your medicine." Jessica says as Gabriella hears the dreaded sound of a medicine bottle being shaken.

"NO!" She runs.
"Gabby, come here!  Don't run!"
"I don't wanna take that!  It's yucky!" She bangs on the bathroom door screaming for Danny.
Danny shuts the shower off and asks, "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah everything's good, I'm just trying to give Gabriella her medicine!"
"I'm almost out, I'll help you in a second."

Jessica put the medicine away and sat Gabriella down on the bed next to her.
She held and talked to her to calm her down so that when Danny got out of the shower she already had Gabriella ready for her medicine.

Danny came out and snuck around them.
He had the medicine in his hand and reached around Gabriella then put the syringe in her mouth and dropped the medicine down her throat.

After Gabriella finished gagging she turned to Danny and pointed her little finger at him, "You're a mean daddy!"
Jessica bit her lip to keep from laughing.

"Sorry Gabby but you're sick and need to take your medicine so that you can be all better for aunt Sarah's wedding."
Gabriella just turned the other way and crossed her arms while her lips puckered.
"That's your child." Danny points his finger at Jessica making her laugh.

They went to have brunch with everyone then that night went to their rehearsal dinner where Gabriella was practically glued to Jessica.

"Hi Gabby!" Sarah picked her up.
"She's sick so watch out!" Jessica warns her.
"Awe! Are you sick, Gabriella?" Sarah asks in a baby voice.
Gabriella rubs her eyes, pouts her lips and nods her head yes.
