Sick

The next day Isaiah woke up screaming and crying.
Gabriella was still asleep and Jessica felt even worse than yesterday.
"Isaiah! What's wrong, baby?" She says walking over to pick him up.
"Mommy's coming!" She opens her robe and sticks her nipple in his mouth.

Isaiah continues to cry uncontrollably and doesn't eat, "What's wrong, baby boy? Why don't you wanna eat?"
She feels his head and body then says, "Awe you're warm, you probably caught what your sister and I have!"
She leaves him in just his onesie and asks Danny to call the doctor while she gets him ready.

When she comes downstairs with him Danny says,
"Baby, let me take him.. You look awful."
"Well thanks Danny!" She says sarcastically.
"You know what I mean! You just look like you don't feel well."
"I don't but my baby's sick and I have to go with him."
"Alright but let me go with you."
"What about Gabby?"
"She can stay with George."
"Alright. Well here, take him. Let me check on Gabby and give her, her medicine."

"Gabriella." She whispers in a soft voice in her ear.
"Baby girl, it's momma." She rubs her arm and runs her hand thru her hair.
She kisses her warm cheek and Gabriella wakes up, "Momma?"
"Yes baby?"
"I don't have to take yucky stuff, right?" She asks in a voice.
"I'm sorry baby, you do. You have to get all better."
"Mommy please! I promise I'll be a good girl!" She says in a low voice and starts to cry.
"I'll be over before you know it!" Jessica tells her as Gabriella hears the dreaded sound of Jessica shaking up her medicine.
Tears fall down Gabriella's face but she stays quiet as she sits on the couch with her hands on her lap.

Jessica sticks the medicine dropper in her mouth and Gabriella swallows then makes a face.
"Ew!" She shakes her head.
"Good job! You're such a big girl!" She kisses her.
"Are you hungry?"
"No I go to sleep!"
"Alright, well uncle George is gonna stay with you okay? When you wake up he'll make you some breakfast."
"Okay mommy!"
"Give me kiss, baby girl!" She puckers her lips and Gabriella kisses her.

"Isaiah" The nurse calls them back.

They took his temperature and he had a fever of 100.1.
Jessica held him as he fussed, but nothing would calm him down.
She wrapped her nursing cover over herself so she could try nursing him again, but Isaiah pushed her boob away and cried.
"He won't eat! Why isn't he eating?" Jessica says upset.
"It's completely normal, Mrs. Huston. We're going to prescribe him an Acetaminophen through suppository."
"Suppository? Like.. Through this blowhole?" Danny's eyes widen.
"Uh.. Yes." The doctor laughs.
Jessica chuckles and rolls her eyes, "Blowhole, Danny? What the fuck?!"
"Well!" He shrugs his shoulders.
"Anyway, doctor! So no liquid?" Jessica asks.
"No, usually on newborns we like to give them a suppository.. It just makes it a little easier."
"Man! Can we have some for Gabriella? She spit her medicine out all over me!" Danny laughs.
"Haha! She'd be like, 'You're not sticking anything in my booty!'" Jessica laughs and imitates Gabby, then adds, "But I did get her to take her medicine, so!" She snaps in Danny's face and puckers her lips.
"You did. Oh and your Gabby impression was spot on!" Danny laughs.
"Haha, thanks!" She smiles.

When they get home George is sitting on the couch with Gabriella laying on him as they watch Rugrats.

"Haha! Oh Chukie!" George laughs.
"Having fun, George?" Jessica chuckles.
"Yes! I love Rugrats! You remind me of Angelica so much!"
"Ah! I'm not mean!" She hits him.
"Okay!" He scoffs.
"Shut up!" She pulls his hair.
"Alright kids, stop fighting!" Danny tells them since they are acting like kids.

"Anyway, how's my Gabby? Do you feel better, momma?"
"A little.." Gabriella pouts her lips and gives her sad eyes.
"A little? Awe my baby.. Look at her sickly little eyes.." Jessica runs her hand from her forehead, down over her eyelashes.

Gabriella didn't have a fever but still felt achy, so she laid with Lola and her uncle George all day and watched tv.

To help break Isaiah's fever, Jessica filled his little bath tub with water and placed a damp washcloth on his forehead.
"My poor baby.. Momma will make you all better!" She says in a soft, soothing voice and smiles at him.
Isaiah starts to baby talk and Jessica smiles even bigger, "Oh do you have something to say?  Yes you do, baby boy!" She giggles then makes cute baby noises with him.

Jessica sniffs around and says, "Smells like your daddy's almost finished cooking!"
Isaiah smiles at her and baby talks.
"Yeah!  Haha, are you excited?!" She giggle with an adorable little smile.

A few days later Jessica and the kids were feeling better, but Danny and George weren't.
"Damn you Jessica, for giving me this!" George says.
"Oh stop! Your niece wouldn't get off of you, so blame her!" She chuckles.
"Yeah but I'd rather blame it on you!" He throws a pillow at her.
"Ass!" She laughs at him and hits him hard in the head with the pillow.

"Jessie!" Danny whines.
"What baby?"
"I don't feel good!"
"I know you don't.. I'm sorry." She pouts and runs her hand through his hair.
"You know what the best medicine is?.." He smirks and pulls her close.
Jessica lets out and small chuckle and says, "Not now, Danny. I don't fuck sick people."
"Oh please!  How about when you had morning sickness and were vomiting nonstop?  I still fucked you."
"Haha, I didn't say YOU didn't fuck sick people.. I said I don't fuck sick people!" She laughs, taps his cheek and walks off leaving him to stare at her ass as she walks away.
