Two fools in love

Barbecue

A few days later they went over to Sarah and Evan's for a barbecue day.

"The Huston's are here!" Jessica says as they enter through their backyard.
"Hey you guys!" Sarah smiles as Gabriella runs towards her.
"Aunt Sarah!"
"Hi Princess!" She picks her up and Gabriella grabs onto her tight.
"Oh and Lola's here!" She adds.
"Yes and she's not spayed so don't leave Charlie and Lola alone together!" Jessica says.
"Oh lord that's all we need is a whole bunch of puppies running around!" Danny says.
"Yes and if Lola's anything like her momma, she'll be pregnant by the end of the day!" She laughs then says, "So let's not let that happen!"

"Mommy I wanna go in the pool and swim!"
"I know baby, but you cant swim with your cast on.  Mommy won't get in the pool, okay?  I can stay with you."
"But I wanna play in the walor!" (Water)
"You're gonna sit with mommy, Lola and Charlie!  Doesn't that sound fun?"
"NO!" She pouts.
"Well listen, if you sit with mommy then I might buy you tickets to go see Frozen on ice!  Don't you wanna go?"
"Yeah.."
"Well then you'll sit with mommy?" Jessica smiles.
"Okay..."
"Good girl!  Now you can still wear your swimsuit since its so hot, okay?"
"Mhm.."

After two hours of sitting in the sun Jessica had it.  Gabriella was fine because she was under the umbrella and she'd get up every once in a while to play with the dogs.

Jessica sat on the edge of the pool with her feet in the water and Danny swam up to her.
"Hey pretty lady." He smiled and grabbed her legs.
"Hi Danny!" She smiles.
"Why don't you get in, it's hot."
"I know, but I feel bad because Gabriella can't get in.  You should be the one that sat out this time since you're the one that crippled her!" She laughs.
"Aren't we past this?" He laughs.
"Come on, get in or I'll pull you in.." He smiles.
"Danny don't!"
"Oh I will!"
"Danny stop!" She laughs as she tries to stand up but can't because he's holding her legs.
"Daniel Huston!"
"Jessica Lange!" He mocks her.
"Danny stop it!" She laughs.
"Alright." He says as he pulls her into the water.
She pops her head out of the water and laughs.
"Danny you made my swimsuit go up my ass and then gave me a concrete burn!"
"Awe I'm sorry!  Did my baby hurt her little ass?" He puts his hand on her butt cheek and rubs it.
"Yeah..." She pouts.
"I'll kiss it and make it better."
"Shut up!" She laughs.

She has her hands wrapped around Danny's neck and her legs around his torso as Gabriella yells, "MOMMY!  WHY YOU SWIMMING?!"
"I'm sorry Gabby, daddy made me!"
"Out mommy!" She yells with one hand on her hip and the other pointing to the ground beside her.
"Oooh!  Busted!" Danny turns to Jessica.
"Shut up!" She laughs and hits his shoulder.
"Gabriella it's hot, and you weren't even paying attention to mommy!  Go see if you brother is still sleeping and I'll be right there, okay?"
"Okay."

Gabriella walks off and Jessica looks at Danny and says, "You see what you did?!  You got me in trouble!" She laughs.
He laughs then tightens the grip on her back and kisses her.

"Mommy he's up and he's sad.  And stop kissing my daddy!" Gabriella runs back and yells at Jessica with her hands on her back.
"Um your daddy was kissing me!" She says jokingly with an attitude, making Danny laugh.
"Anyway, why is he sad?"
"I think because you won't let me swim.."
"I don't think so." She laughs.
Jessica pulls herself up to sit on the edge of the pool then stands up to get Isaiah.
"Awe your little butt is red, I'm sorry!"
"I told you!" She turns herself to look at her butt as she rubs it.
"Oh yeah.. Go slow with that. " Danny says in his deep sexy voice.
"You're such a pig!" She laughs.

She goes to get Isaiah as Gabriella goes inside with Sarah.
"Gabby wanna be my big helper and bring out some plates so we can eat?"
"Yeah!  I help! I help!" She jumps up and down.
"Alright, let's go!" Sarah laughs.

"Hi Isaiah!  Mommy's here!" She picks him up.
"Did you have a nice nap?" She asks as she slightly bounces him and messes with his hair then kisses his cheek.
"Oh my sweaty boy!  My sweaty baby boy!" She giggles.
"Do you wanna get in the pool, Zaya?" She walks over by the water where Danny is.
"Here babe, take him so I can get in." She hands him to Danny then gets in.
"Wa Wa!" Isaiah hits the water with his hands.
"Yeah that's the water!" Jessica smiles.
"I don't think you've ever been in a pool!  Well besides when you were in my belly!" She smiles and rubs her thumb on his cheek.
"Your momma looked so cute in her little swimsuit when you were in her tummy!" Danny tells Isaiah.
"Oh please!  I looked like a whale!"
"Just a little whale." He says making her laugh.
"But you were still so cute!" He adds.
"Well thank you!" She giggles.
"Swimming while pregnant feels so amazing!  It's like you're weightless!  It's crazy how fast things go.  He's growing up.. Him and Gabby.  Danny he's one and our baby girl is almost three!"
"I know, that's insane!"
"Yeah.." She says in a sad tone as she looks at Isaiah and twirls his hair around her finger, with tears in her eyes.
"Awe baby, come here." Danny puts his arm around her and kisses the top of her head.
"Don't get upset.. It's a beautiful day.. we're here with our best friends and are beautiful kids.. It's a happy time!" He gently shakes her and smiles.
"I know, I know I'm sorry.. I'm just emotional right now!" She wipes her eyes.
"Don't be sorry.. It's fine." He looks deep into her eyes and smiles at her.
"Thanks Danny." She smiles back.

"Barbecue's ready!" Evan yells.
"Alright lets go!" Jessica gets excited.
"Hungry baby?" Danny laughs.
"Always!" She smiles.

As they eat outside in the hot New Orleans sun, Sarah says, "You know whats weird?"
"What?" Jessica asks.
"Three years ago.. We didn't even know Gabby.."
Jessica chuckles and asks, "What made you think of that?"
"Well I'm just sitting here watching her feed herself and become this little person that doesn things on her own.. She has this personality where she just speaks her mind, and I think it's so weird that three years ago she wasn't even a thought.  I mean Jess, you thought you couldn't have kids and look at you now!  You're a baby making machine!"
Jessica laughs and Sarah finishes, "I know I sound weird right now but I don't know.. I guess it just hit me on how fast all of our lives have changed."
"They've changed ridiculously fast!  Especially Danny and Jessica's." Evan says.
"We went from going to a party at Jessica's place to finding out y'all were dating then you asking her to marry you that same night!  Then once you two got married, Gabby immediately came along." Evan chuckles then smiles at Gabriella who's smiling because they're talking about her.
"You little ham!" Jessica laughs and tickles Gabriella then says, "Well Danny and I dated for an extremely short time before we got engaged.  Then after the wedding, the baby came.. then another baby! *Giggles* So to me our life together has felt like this one long fairytale type dream." She says as she runs her hand through her hair then smiles at Danny.
"Yeah, I get what you mean.. Four years ago, I was this single guy, out of work.. Living this boring life, then Ryan offered me that part and I immediately said yes because I'd get to see her everyday.. I could hold her and just look at her.  Yes I sound like a creeper but I can say that now since she's my wife!" He says making them laugh.
"I just knew Jessica and I would end up together.  But the day I first laid my eyes on Jessica when she was standing by the cakes on the set of The Postman Always Rings Twice, I knew she'd make me the happiest man alive.. I've never been more right." He smiles at her.
"Aw Danny.." She smiles as her eyes water.
"Since day one you've stuck in my heart and you've been my Babydoll ever since." He rubs his thumb on her cheek.
"Danny stop!" She chuckles as a tear rolls down her cheek.
He smiles and leans in to kiss her lips.
"No!  No!  None of that!" Gabriella points her finger at them.
"Gabriella!" Sarah laughs.
Jessica breaks the kiss and leans on him with her hand on his chest.
"What Gabby?" She giggles.
"We eating not kissing, sillies!" She laughs and covers her mouth with her hand.
"Well we're sorry!" Jessica laughs.
"Your mommy's my favorite thing to eat." Danny says in a low voice.
"My God Danny!  Cut that out!" She hits his chest.
"Sorry!  The opportunity was there and I took it!" He laughs and rubs her side.
She closes her eyes and smiles as he kisses her forehead.
