Two fools in love

Two months

Two weeks later.

"Mommy I sick!" Gabriella says after she sneezes.
"Awe do you not feel well, baby?"
"No.. It hurts!" Gabriella pouts and rubs her throat.
"Oh no, you have a sore throat?  Mommy better call the doctor."
"No doctor!"
"I'm sorry, baby but you have to see the doctor so you can get all better and the baby won't get sick."
Gabriella starts to cry and Jessica says, "Shhh you're fine, it's okay!" She rubs her back.

Jessica texts Danny that Gabriella's sick then gets her bathed and dressed while Danny's at a meeting.

When he gets home he asks, "Hey baby, you want me to take her so you can stay with the baby?"
"No it's fine."
"You sure?"
"Yeah... No offense but I want to be there so that I can hear what she has or what kind of medicine she needs from the doctor, and you may not remember." She chuckles.
"Alright, then I'll stay with little man." He smiles down at Isaiah in his rock and play.
"Thanks honey. I'll feed him right now so you'll just have to burp him, change his diaper and put him down for a nap."
"Don't worry babe, I got this." He smiles at her while he wraps his hand around her waist and pulls her closer.
She giggles and pushes him away, "Alright, alright, get off and let me feed the baby!"
"Jessie!" He looks at a bit irritated.
"What?" She asks picking up the baby.
"It's been two months."
"Yeah... I know."
"Jess, it's been two months since I've touched you, since I've tasted you.. I- I just don't know how much longer I can go without being with you."
"Well I'm sorry Danny but I'm not ready yet."
"But baby.. I miss you." He pouts.
"I'm still here, Danny. And if you want to blame anyone, blame your son with his Huge Huston Head!" She scoffs.
"Alright fine.. I'm sorry."

Jessica sits down to nurse the baby and Danny watches from the couch across from her.
"Daniel!" She looks at him.
"What? I can't even watch?!"
"Hah!" Jessica rolls her eyes.

"There you go! Belly full of milk and ready for a nap!" Jessica rubs Isaiah's stomach and kisses him.
"Momma will be right back, baby. Be a good little boy for daddy, okay?" She tells him before she hands him to Danny.

"Lets go Gabby." Jessica calls Gabriella who's laying on the couch half asleep with her blanket.
"Awe, let's go baby." Jessica picks her up and takes her to the car.

Gabriella falls asleep in the car so Jessica carries her upstairs and holds her while they wait.
"You're burning up, Gabby! My poor baby!" She touches her forehead then kisses it.
"Mommy doesn't feel well either... God, I'm exhausted!" She sighs.

"Gabriella." The nurse calls her back.

Gabriella won't let go of Jessica so the nurse can check her.
"Gabriella let go of momma, the nurse has to check your temperature."
"How about if mommy sits on the doctors table with you?" The nurse smiles.
Gabriella just puckers her lips and lowers her eyebrows at the nurse.
"Thank you." Jessica tells the nurse and sits on the table.

As the nurse tries to take her temperature Gabriella kicks and screams, "NO! NO! NO!"
"Gabriella Danielle, stop it right now!" Jessica roughly sits her up and holds her down.

"Can mommy take her temperature so you can see it's not a big deal?" The nurse asks Gabriella.
"Yeah that's a good idea! Gabby look, mommy's taking her temperature!" Jessica says as the nurse sticks the thermometer in her mouth.

"See! No big deal, Gabby!" Jessica smiles.
"Um Mrs. Huston.."
"Yeah?" She turns to the nurse.
"You have a fever of 102."
"What?!"
"Yeah, you don't feel achy?"
"Honey I've felt achy since she was born!" She chuckles.
The nurse laughs and says, "Well I'll tell the doctor to write a prescription so you can get on antibiotics."
"Thank you so much. Oh but I have a question, I just breastfed my son.. Is that okay?"
"It's fine. More than likely you already exposed him to the sickness before you actually fully got it. It'll just build his immune system and help him fight off anything that's trying to start. So go ahead and continue breastfeeding."
"Alright, thank you!"

"Alright Gabriella, your turn." The nurse says as Gabriella just opens her mouth with no problem.

"Alright.. Her temperature is 101.1."
"Haha, I beat you!" Jessica jokes with Gabriella.

The doctor writes a prescription for both Jessica and Gabriella.

"How it go, babydoll?" Danny asks as Jessica walks in carrying Gabriella.
"Well it didn't go as expected.."
"What do you mean? Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, everything's fine.. But uh.. I'm sick too." She chuckles.
"You are?"
"Yeah! I have a fever of a hundred and two!" She laughs.
"Are you kidding me?!" He raises his eyebrows and let's out a small chuckle.
"I know! I mean, I don't feel well but I thought I was just worn out from taking care of the kids all morning."
"Awe, well you go and rest your pretty little head. I'll take care you the babies, you get some rest while I make you some soup."
"Thank you, honey."

George walks down and Jessica asks him if he can pick up their prescriptions for her.

When he gets back he Lysol's the entire house with his shirt over his nose.

"GEORGE STOP THAT!" Jessica yells as it makes her cough.
"I'm not getting sick, Jessica!... If anyone needs me, I'll be in my room disinfecting everything!"
"Whatever!" Jessica rolls her eyes.

"Medicine time!" Danny walks in with her medicine.

Jessica takes it like a shot then makes a face.
"Ew! That was so disgusting!"
"But you took it like a good girl! Now give me a kiss." He smiles then puckers his lips.
Jessica laughs and kisses him.

"Now to enter... Hell..." Danny says talking about giving Gabriella her medicine.
Jessica just laughs and watches him walk out.

"Ahhhh! No! No! No!" She yells and runs from Danny.
"Gabriella you have to take it!" Danny runs after her.
"No daddy! Go away!" She points as she yells.

After all the yelling and medicine being spit up all over Danny, Gabriella manages to wake up Isaiah.
So now there's a screaming baby in the mix.

Jessica ties her robe then goes downstairs.
"Mommy! Mommy! Help me! Daddy's being mean!" She runs and clings to her leg.
"Oh Gabby, daddy's not being mean!" She hugs her and tries to distract her from seeing Danny hand her the medicine.
"Oh Gabby, can you open really wide for me so I can see your pretty teeth?" She smiles.
"Yeah!" She smiles then opens wide.
When she opens her mouth Jessica squirts the medicine down her throat.
"Ahhhh! MOMMY!" Gabriella yells at her in shock of what just happened.
Jessica laughs and says, "I'm so good! I'm so good, I'm even better than myself!" She chuckles and walks back to bed.
