Chicken Nugget

After Isaiah was finished eating, Jessica said, "Danny get the ultrasound pictures out of my bag so they can see the baby."
Danny gets up to grab them then hands them to her.
"Look Gabby!  Do you see this right here?"
"That's a chicken nugget!" Gabriella says.
"No it's not!" Jessica laughs.
"Yeah!  It's a nugget from McDonald's!" She smiles big.
"Well we did have McDonald's, so there was some chicken nuggets in there!" Danny laughs.
"Stop it!" Jessica laughs.
"Gabby, that little nugget is the baby." She points.
"Baby?"
"Yeah sweet girl.  That's your little brother or sister!"
"Awe!  It's so little!" She says in a high pitched voice.
"I know!" Jessica giggles.
"I gonna call it.. Chicken nugget!" Gabriella laughs.
"Oh is that what we're naming it?"
"Yeah!"
Jessica and Danny can't help but laugh at how cute she is.
"Gabby, why are you so cute?" Danny asks.
"That's cause I Gabriella Danielle Huston!" She smiles.
"That's right, baby!" Danny smiles and kisses her cheek.

The next day they met for lunch with Sarah and Evan.
They decided to wait a while before they told Gabriella that Sarah was pregnant too, just in case.

"Happy nine weeks!" Sarah smiles and hugs Jessica.
"Well thank you, you too!" She giggles.
"Are you starting to pop out a tiny bit?" Sarah smiles and puts her hand on her stomach.
"No, I just had a big breakfast!" Jessica laughs.
"That's not the baby, I just ate too much!" She looks down and runs her hands over her slightly swollen stomach.
"Just blame it on the baby, no one will know!" Sarah laughs.
"Right?!" Jessica giggles.

"Aunt Sarah, mommy's gonna have a baby!" She yells as she tugs on Sarah's leg.
"I know, sweetie!  Im so happy for you guys!" She picks her up and kisses her cheek.
"I'm gonna have a little sister" Gabriella smiles.
"No Gabriella!  We don't know what the baby is yet, remember?"
"Yeah.." She pouts.
Sarah laughs and Jessica rolls her eyes, "I swear, that girl!  She's such a mess!" She chuckles.
"So how are you feeling?  Any morning sickness?"
"A little bit, but nothing too horrible.  I think after everything, I'm just happy to be having symptoms this time.  Sick mommy means healthy baby." Sarah smiles.
"That's right, and it's so worth it in the end!  If you need anything, I'm always here for you Sar, you know that."
"I do.. Thank you." She smiles.

A week later...

"If I could go just one day with out throwing up, I'd be the happiest woman on earth." Jessica says walking out of the bathroom.
"Awe baby!" Danny hugs her.
"I just want to get through these next two weeks so that I can be in my second trimester, and this can all go away!"
"I wish there was something I could do for you, Princess!" Danny kisses her cheek.
"Thanks.. this is just cruel!" She throws herself back on the bed and rests her hand on her stomach.
Danny smiles and puts the book he was reading down.
He lays his big warm hand on her teeny tiny bump and says, "Look at how tiny you are!"
"I know!  I really don't look pregnant at all yet!"
"No, but after a baby like Isaiah, I guess  you're relived.  You started to have a small pooch at like eight weeks." He laughs.
"I did!" She chuckles.
"But this one's just a little guy!" Danny says in a cute voice as he rubs her stomach.
"Haha, for now!" She smiles down at her stomach.

Danny puts his face right by her stomach and says, "Hey beanie baby!  You and I are gonna be best friends.. Maybe you'll be another football player like your brother, or maybe you're gonna be a ballerina like your sister.  Either way, you are mommy and daddy's beautiful surprise, and we love you so much."
"That's right!" She smiles and twirls her fingers in his hair.
He lays his cheek on her stomach and she gently caresses his face.

Danny lays there relaxed and on the verge of falling asleep when he mumbles, "I feel like I could just fall asleep on you, but I feel like at any moment, or as soon as I shut my eyes, A kid is gonna start screaming."
Jessica giggles and says, "Just go na-night, baby." She pats his cheek.

When Danny falls asleep, Isaiah wakes up from his nap.
"Babe, can you get him?" She rubs his arm.
"Babe?.. Danny?" She taps him but he's in such a deep sleep, that he doesn't even notice.
Jessica sighs and slides from under him.

She picks him up from his crib and says, "Did you have a nice nap?  Huh?  Cause momma didn't!  No she did not!  Mommy was in the bathroom puking her guts out!" She says in a cute voice before she kisses his chubby cheek.
"Mommy!" He smiles.
"Yes?"
"Momma play! Momma play!" He grabs two handfuls of her hair and starts tugging at them.
"Ow! I don't wanna play that game!" She pulls his little hands off of her hair.
Isaiah laughs and Jessica says, "Is that funny to rip mommy's hair out?"
"Yeah!" He laughs.
"You little stinker!" She tickles him.

Jessica checks on Gabriella who is still napping in her bed with Lola on top of her.
She smiles and goes back to her room.
Danny was laid out on the bed, so she walked downstairs.

"You hungry, baby?" She asks him.
"Yeah!"
"So am I!  Lets see what we can eat.." She walks into the kitchen.
"How about some soup?  The baby has mommy's tummy sick, so maybe that would be good.  But how about you?  What do you want to eat?"
"Num nums."
"No baby.. Mommy's boobies hurt!"
"Num nums!"
"How about some baby food?"
"No, num nums!" He whines as he pulls at her shirt.
"Here, you sit down and mommy will make you a bottle." She puts him in his highchair and gets the formula out since she hadn't pumped any milk.
Isaiah starts to throw a fit but Jessica ignores him.

When she hands him his bottle, he looks at it like she's crazy for giving it to him.
"Drink it, baby."
He looks at her with tears in his eyes and a hurt look on his face.
"What's wrong?" She laughs.
"It's a bottle! You act like I'm giving you poison!"
He slowly puts the bottle in his mouth and drinks a tiny bit.
Jessica gasps as Isaiah throws the bottle across the room and starts throwing a fit.
"Isaiah!" She yells.
"What is wrong with you?!"
"I hungry, mommy!  Give me num nums!" He yells.
"Oh Isaiah.. You need to get off of the boob already!" She sighs and picks him up.

She goes to the living room and puts him on her lap then takes her boob out.
Isaiah grabs onto it like it was gold and eats like he hasn't eaten in days.
"Slow down! It's not going anywhere." She tells him as she plays with his hair.
Isaiah looks up at her with his big eyes and she smiles.
"My baby..." She caresses his cheek.
"What on earth will you do when you have to share me with a newborn?"
Isaiah smiles as he continues eating and she says, "You don't even understand, do you? Momma's pregnant! Do you know what that means?"
Isaiah nods his head no and Jessica giggles.
"That means I have a baby in my tummy! It's your little brother or sister. In a few weeks, you'll notice that mommy will start to get bigger, especially in the belly!" She laughs.
"Can you say baby?"
"Nuh-uh.." He nods his head no.
"Why not?"
"I eating!" He mumbles.
"Oh alright! I'll wait." Jessica chuckles.

When he's finally finished eating, Jessica asks, "Now can you say baby?"
Isaiah giggles and tries climbing all over her.
He pokes his fingers into her cheeks and mouth.
"What are you doing, monkey?!" She smiles.
He laughs at her and she says, "Is that funny?!" She moves him so he doesn't accidentally step on her stomach.
"Now Zaya, can you point to mommy's tummy?"
Isaiah does what he is told and she says, "Good boy! Now, can you say baby?"
"Baby!" He smiles.
"Good job! You're such a smart boy! Can you wave to the baby? Say hi!" She waves.
"Hi baby!" He waves to her stomach.
"Good!" She says with a smile before she kisses his forehead.

Isaiah bends down to kiss her stomach and she says, "Isaiah! That was so sweet! Aw, you're gonna make mommy cry!"
"No! No cry! No cry!" He stands beside her and touches her cheeks.
"I won't cry, baby." She smiles then grabs his little hand and kisses them.
"I love you, mommy!" He says in the sweetest little voice.
"Awe, I love you too, baby!" She says as he throws himself on her for a hug.
