Two fools in love

"Jess--"
"No Danny!  I don't want them near my kids!  They haven't spoken to me in years and now they want to see me?  and my babies?  No!  You didn't tell them I was pregnant, did you?"
"No, I didn't think we were telling people yet."
"Well good.  So what did they say to you?  They've never even met you."
"They walked up to me and said, You're Danny Huston, aren't you?  I thought they were fans at first, I've only seen a couple pictures of them, so it didn't even register in my mind that they were your parents."
"So what did you say?"
"I said yes!  They told me their names, but didn't mention you... When they said their last name, it was like ten seconds of pure silence.  I didn't even know what  to say.  But we got to talking.  They said they understand that they were wrong for shutting you out.  They congratulated me on us getting married and for both of the kids."
"Yeah, well they're a little late, don't you think?"
"Jessica, come on--"
"No Danny!  God, this is crazy!  I need to call George.."
"Jessica just wait!" He pulls her arm.
"Sit down and relax, it's not good for the baby."
She takes a deep breath and looks down at the ground.
"Jessica.. I know you're hurt.. and I hate what happened in this whole mess.. but Jessie.. They really seem like they want to be back in your life.. They want to be in the kids lives... Our kids need grandparents."
"Well they've done just fine without them!"
"Jess..."
"So what do you want me to do Danny?  Just forget about how they threw me out of the house when I was younger?  How my dad was an alcoholic and would come home drunk and beat me, just for the hell of it?  How my mom never said anything, she just let him do whatever he wanted!  Or how they never once did that to either of my sisters, or to George?  I mean thank God they didn't but still... Why me?!  What was wrong with me?" She looks at him with tears in her eyes.
"I've gone the past ten years of my life just fine without them, and I plan to keep it that way.  You think I didn't want me mother when we got engaged?  To have my dad give me away to the man I love?  You think I wasn't terrified when I found out I was pregnant with Gabriella and wanted to just get in the car and see my mom?  and for her to tell me that everything was going to be alright.  Or after all those hours of pain and when the baby finally came out.. All I wanted was to hug my mom.. and just be there for me.  Danny, all my life I've been miserable and extremely depressed.. when I met you, that all changed.  Everything that happened to me.. Those scars that never go away.. I didn't care anymore.  Danny you're all I need.. You and my kids are the only ones I need to be happy." She looks deep into his eyes.
Danny just grabs her and gives her a tight hug.
She cries and clings onto him.

After a while of him just holding her, she pulls away and looks at Danny.
"I respect your decision and I will totally support you in what ever you decide to do... Just really think about it, because I feel like even just a phone call telling them how you feel, will make you feel a lot better and you can really close that chapter in your life."
Jessica wipes her tears and looks at the ground.

A few days have past and Jessica hasn't been able to get her parents out of her head.

"Jessie, are you okay?  You've been really quiet."
"I'm fine... It's just.. I've been thinking a lot... I'm just confused.  I've gone so long without them and I felt that I was okay.. but now... Now I don't know.  Maybe it's time to see them, and forget the past?  I just don't know what to do... and you're right, the kids should get to know their grandparents... But before they even think of getting to meet them, I will sit down with them one on one.  They have to build up that trust before I even think about letting me kids see them."
"I totally agree.   You know that I'll be with you if you do decide to meet with them, and if they even think of telling my girl anything at all, then I'll go off on them.  Just relax baby, because I won't let them tell you anything."
"Thank you, Danny."
"Hey, you're my girl!  I got you!" He smiles.
She lets out a small giggle as he reaches his arm around her.

"But lets not think about this right now, we have a midwife appointment to be at." He smiles.
"Yep!"
"It's time to see the bambino!" Danny smiles and rubs her stomach.
"Oh!  A little pooch!"
"Yeah, I noticed that this morning." Jessica smiles down at her small belly.
"Well you're almost twelve weeks!  I think this is the smallest you've been at this stage though, you usually pop out a couple weeks sooner."
"Yeah, and with Isaiah, forget it!  I was huge from the start!  Not just my belly, but my ass, my face, my feet, shit everything was big!" She laughs.
"Oh but you were so cute!" He says in a cute voice before he kisses her.
"Well thanks!" She giggles.

They load the kids up in the van and head out.

"Mommy, where we going?" Gabriella asks.
"We're going to see the baby!" She smiles.
"The baby?!"
"Yeah!  They're gonna check to see how much the baby's grown, we'll be able to hear their little heartbeat and maybe even get to see him or her on the screen!"
"Yay!  Zaya, we get to see our baby sister today!"
"Gabby!"
"Uh, I mean.. Brother or sister!" She giggles.
"Thank you." Jessica smiles.

"Hey you guys!" Sunshine greets them.
"Oh my gosh, these baby's are getting so big!"
"I know!  Can you believe that Gabby's gonna be three in a little over two weeks?"
"Oh my gosh!  How is that even possible?!" Sunshine asks as she picks up Gabriella.
"Right?!  And can you believe she's pregnant again?" Danny chuckles.
"Haha!  It's crazy how fast y'all's little family is growing.  I'm so happy for you guys."
"Thank you." Jessica smiles.
"And look at this little guy!  Oh my gosh, he's getting so big!  Danny, he looks just like you!" She says looking at Isaiah in the stroller.
"Doesn't he?" Jessica smiles.
"His twin!  Well, should we go ahead and go to the back?"
"Sure!"

"So, Jessica, are you planning to have this one on an Island as well?" Sunshine laughs.
"Absolutely not!" She laughs.
"The goal is to make it full term and have a HOME BIRTH!  Not a beach birth!" She laughs.

Jessica takes a few tests, then lays back and lifts her shirt.

Sunshine measures her tiny bump and says, "Well your bump is definitely a lot smaller than it was when you were pregnant with Isaiah."
"I've noticed!" Jessica giggles.
"Hah.. So are you still having really bad morning sickness?"
"Yes!  It's horrible!"
"Awe, I'm sorry!  Well you're just a few days shy of twelve weeks, so hopefully it'll calm down."
"I hope so!"

Sunshine puts the heart doppler on her stomach to hear the baby's heartbeat.
"Gabby listen to that!" Danny tells her.
"What is that sound, baby?" Jessica asks.
"... A monster?"
"No!" Jessica laughs.
"Sweetie, that's the baby!"
"That's the baby?!  Why it sound scary?"
"That's his or her little heartbeat." Danny tells her.
"Oh!' She giggles.
"Zaya, do you hear that?" Jessica asks.
"Boom!  Boom!  Boom!" Isaiah moves his little fists in the air.
"Yeah, the baby's heart goes boom, boom, boom!" She giggles.
"Gabriella and Isaiah, do you want to see your little brother or sister on the screen?" Sunshine asks.
"Yeah!" Gabriella asks.
"Isaiah, do you wanna see the baby?" Jessica asks him.
"Baby?" He smiles.
"Yeah, lets see the baby!"

Sunshine puts the warm gel on her belly, then puts the scanner on her stomach.
"Awe look at the little chicken nugget!" Danny smiles.
"Mommy it's so cute!" Gabriella says in a cute, high pitched voice.
"I know!"
"Can you feel it moving?"
"Not yet, baby.  But soon I will." Jessica smiles.

After the ultrasound, she asks Jessica a few questions, one being if she and Danny were waiting till the birth to find out the sex of the baby.
"I don't think we can!" Jessica laughs then says, "I want to know as soon as possible!"
"Yeah, me too.  Besides, if it's not a girl, then we have to have a few months to prepare this little girl for another boy!" Danny laughs.
"That's true!" Jessica agrees.
Sunshine laughs then says, "Well it's obviously too early to tell, but I can say that their little heartbeat is telling me that they're a boy!  But that's not one hundred percent accrete."
"Awe, really?!  Well we will be more than happy for another boy or a little girl!"
"Yeah, it makes no difference to me either." Danny smiles.
"Well I want it to be a girl!" Gabriella pouts her lips and crosses her arms.
"Well calm down, we don't know what it is yet, Ms. Crabby Pants." Jessica tells her.
"I not a crab!  I Gabby!" She yells.
"Ooh, she's sassy!" Sunshine laughs.
"Oh yes!  This child is full of sass!" Jessica chuckles.
"Just like her mother.." Danny says.
"Yeah okay!" She laughs and rolls her eyes.
