Why?

Sarah's POV.
"Hello, 911 what is your emergency?"
"My friend just got hit by a truck, you need to get down here now!"
"Alright tell us where you are."
Sarah tells the 911 operator where they are.
"Okay ma'am, the ambulance is on their way.  Tell me, can you see if anyone is hurt?"
"I-I-I don't know, no ones come out yet.  Should I go check?"
"Yes ma'am."

Jessica's POV.

She opens her eyes from being knocked out for a little while, "Oh my gosh, what the fuck happened?" She looks around the remembers that Gabriella's with her.
"Gabby!" She yells and looks back to see Gabby looking around with only a few scratches.
"Oh thank you Jesus!" She touches her hand to her chest.

As she steps out of the car Sarah runs up to her, "Oh my gosh Jess, thank god!  Are you okay?  I saw the whole thing.  Oh god, how's Gabriella?" She freaks out.
"It's okay, she's fine.  Will you get her out for me though?  Please?"
"Yeah, sure." Sarah takes her out and holds her.
"I'm so thankful that you two are okay, I couldn't believe it!"
"I know.. Ah oh shit!" Jessica leans over and grabs her stomach in pain.
"Jessica are you okay?"
"I don't know, oh god it hurts!"
"The ambulance is on its way, we're gonna get you to the hospital.. Just breathe!" She says panicked.
"Sarah this can't happen now, It's too soon!" She breathes heavy.
"It's gonna be okay Jessica, it's probably just braxton hicks.. It's gonna be okay." She says trying to calm her down.
The ambulance arrives and as they take them Jessica yells, "Call Danny!"
"I will Jess, I'll meet you at the hospital!"

Sarah calls Danny but gets no answer.
She calls Evan to see if he's with him.

"Hello?"

"Evan!  Is Danny with you?"

"Yeah why?  Is everything okay?"

"I don't know, Jessica was in a wreck and she started having contractions.  She's on her way to the hospital and I'm following behind."

"Oh my gosh, is the baby gonna be alright?  Was Gabriella hurt?"

"Gabby's fine... The baby, I-I don't know!" She cries. "Let me talk to Danny."

"Alright, be careful!"

"Hey Dan, Sarah needs to talk to you."

"Hey Sarah, what's up?"

"Danny why didn't you answer your phone?"

"Oh opps, it was on silent!" He laughs.

"Danny, Jessica was in a wreck.  Her and Gabriella are fine but she started having contractions so she's on her way to the hospital and I'm following."

"What?!  Oh my gosh, wha-what's gonna happen?" He freaks out.

"I don't know, but you need to get to the hospital NOW!"

"I'm on my way!  Sarah, tell her I love her!"

"I will Danny." She cries.

Evan and Danny run to the car, "Let me drive." Evan tells him.
Danny looks at the phone and sees that Jessica tried to call him and sent him a text, "Why Evan?!  Why didn't I answer her?  What am I going to do?  I can't lose her, I can't!" Danny cries.
"Danny stop!  You're not gonna lose her, everything's gonna be just fine, okay?"
"But what if it's not!  We had a fight this morning, I didn't listen to her.. Why didn't I listen to her?!  I can't deal with this!"
"Danny calm down!  You need to be calm for her."
"I know, I know!  But Evan.. What if we lose the baby?" He looks at him with tears in his eyes.
They stare at each other in silence then Evan says, "That little man's gonna be fine!" then continues driving.

Jessica and Sarah get to the hospital.
Sarah goes back with them.
They check Gabriella and she's just fine after they put a few bandages on her.

"Did you get ahold of Danny?" Jessica asks with a painful look on her face.
"Yeah he's on his way.  He told me to tell you that he loves you." Sarah tells her as Jessica's eyes fill with tears.

"Ah!" She grabs her stomach.
"Where the hell is he?!!" She yells.
Danny walks in and runs up to her, "Oh god, Jessica!  I am so so sorry baby!" He cries.
"It's okay, Danny.  I'm sorry."
"No stop.  Don't be!  I'm an idiot.  How are you feeling?"
"I'm still having contractions." She says with a worried look on her face.
"Where the hell is the doctor?" He goes outside of the room and yells, "We need a doctor, my wife's pregnant!"

A nurse comes in and hooks Jessica up to a machine that shows you her contractions.
"Any bleeding?"
"Besides the blood from my cut lip and arm that you have bandaged, no!"

The lady puts gel on her stomach and checks on the baby.
Jessica, Danny and Sarah sit there waiting to hear his little heartbeat.

*Boom boom, boom boom*
"Oh thank god!" Jessica says relieved. 
"Is he okay?" Danny asks.
"He looks great, strong heartbeat, not in distress.  I'm just going to check your cervix and see if you're dilated."

Jessica lifts her legs for the nurse to check her.
"You're not dilated at all so that's good."
"Then why is she having contractions?" Sarah asks.
"They're more than likely strong Braxton hicks that were triggered by the shock.  I'm going to talk with the doctor and he'll be right in to speak with you."

Meanwhile another nurse comes in to clean and bandage her up.

A few minutes later the doctor walks in.
"Hello Ms. Lange, how are you?"
"In pain." She gives him a look.
"Well I looked over everything and good news.. You're pregnant!" He jokes.
"I don't think this is the time to be joking doctor." Danny says with a serious face.
"I know, I apologize.  You and your baby are going to be just fine.  I checked the scan and what you are feeling are Braxton hicks.  There are no signs of pre-term labor.  We're gonna keep you here over night just to be sure, but I can tell you that you and your baby will both be fine."
"Oh thank god!" She says relieved.
"Thank you doctor." Danny says as he leaves.

Jessica cries and Danny goes up to her, "I thought I was gonna lose you babydoll." He cries.
"I'm so so sorry, baby girl."
"I'm sorry too Danny."
"Jessica I felt horrible when I looked at my phone and saw that you called me and sent me a picture.  My phone was on silent, I'm so sorry!"
"It's okay Danny, everyone's fine.. Everything's okay!" She smiles and holds his head in her hands.
He grabs her hand and kisses it, "Jessica, let's never fight again!" He looks deep into her eyes.
"Deal!" She smiles.
He smiles back and gives her a deep and romantic kiss that lasts a while.

"Momma and daddy kissing!" Gabriella giggles and points to them.
They break the kiss and look over at her laughing.
"And for you little one!" Danny goes over to her and takes her from Sarah.
"You scared me too!" He kisses her making Gabriella laugh from the tickle of his stubble.

"She was very brave!" Jessica laughs.
"Well she's like her momma.  She's tough!"
"Damn right!" Jessica laughs.
