October 1st. 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
Jessica had sent her parents an email saying that she and Danny wanted to go to dinner, to discuss some things.
She was so nervous to go to, but she knew she had to do it.
"Danny, I don't know what to wear!"
"Well you look beautiful in everything, baby."
"Danny stop it, I look fat!" She runs her hand over her slightly swollen bump then pulled the layer of clothing that clung to her belly.
"You do not! You barely even have a belly! Just pick anything!"
"Well Danny, I'm nervous! And I'm not ready to tell them that I'm pregnant!"
"I know, I'm sorry baby. Just relax.. Everything's gonna be okay." He walks up and runs his big strong hands down her arms.
"... Danny." She says in a shaky voice as she looks to the ground.
"What baby?"
"I don't wanna go!" She looks up at him and cries.
"Aw, sweetie!" He hugs her.
"Jessie, if you don't want to go, then we won't go. You just tell me, and I'll call your parents myself."
"No... I just feel like I have to. Danny it's been ten years since I've seen them, and for the last four that I've been with you.. They've been the happiest four years in my whole life. I just hate that now I can't get them out of my head. I was fine! Now it's like it's all I think about! God, I hate them!" She saying in a groan.
"Jessica I don't want you stressing out like this! They're not worth it! I don't need you getting sick, or the baby getting sick!"
"I know.. I know I need to calm down, but... It's just hard."
"I know, sweetie. If you don't wanna go, just tell me." Danny says as he wraps his arms around her and puts his lips on the top of her head.
"No... I wanna go..." She mumbles with her face in his chest.
"Okay.. Now let me see your smile." Danny says in a cute way as he looks down at her.
She gives him a small smile and he says, "Good girl! You're beautiful!" He smiles and wipes her tears.
The kids stay with George while they have dinner with her parents.
When they get to the restaurant, her parents have already been seated.
"Danny, I think I'm gonna be sick!" She stops as the hostess walks them to the back.
"What's wrong?" He asks her.
"I'm just nervous.." She takes a deep breath and puts her hand on her stomach.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good... Let's just go." She says as Danny takes her hand and follows the hostess.
"Jessica... Oh God.. My baby!" Dorothy just stares at her when she walks in, while dad sat there fighting back tears.
"Hello." Jessica said as she walked up to the table.
Dorothy puts her hands up to her face while being shaky from all the emotion.
She grabs her and hugs her tight.
"Oh Jessie! Jessie, I am so sorry.. For everything!" Her mom sobs.
Jessica's dad stands up and looks at her with so much pain in his eyes.
"Hi dad." She looks at him with a straight face.
"Jessica.. Wow.. You're beautiful."
"Yes she is! You're all grown up and you are such a beautiful woman." Her mom says as her dad hugs her.
"Yeah, you grow up a lot in ten years." Jessica says, still not cracking a smile.
"Yeah.." Her moms voice trails off.
"Danny.. It's good to see you again." Albert shakes his hand.
"You too. Hello, Dorothy." He shakes her hand after Albert's.
"Hi Danny! Well.. Lets sit down, shall we?" Dorothy says.
"Jessica, before anything is said, I just want to say how incredibly sorry I am.. For everything. I understand that I was the worst father that you could have possibly had.. Jessica I will never forgive myself for the things I have done to you.. It was cruel and not at all necessary. I know that you may never forgive me, and I completely understand that... but Jessica, your mother and I want to be apart of you and your beautiful family's lives."
"Ah, the babies! Jessie, you do an amazing job of keeping your kids out of the spotlight, but the glimpses that I've seen online.. Oh my gosh, they're gorgeous!" Dorothy says with tears in her eyes.
"Yes they are. Thank you." Jessica says as she looks down at the table then sighs and looks up at both of her parents, "Danny and I want them to have the most normal childhood as possible, so we do our best to keep them out of the spotlight."
"Well that's good.. You're such a good mom, Jessica.."
"Yes I am. My kids are everything to me."
"Since Jessica has become a mother, it's like she's become this superwoman. I mean she works, she takes care or them, she teaches them new things, she worked during the sickest months of her pregnancies but still delivered award winning performances. All that and she doesn't ever complain about a thing. She loves those kids so so much.. She's the best mom to our kids, and I couldn't ask for more in a woman." Danny smiles and rubs his thumb on her cheek.
"Thank you, baby." Jessica smiles at him then pats his leg.
"Wow.. well, that's really.. really great to hear.." Dorothy sighs.
