Chapter 52

Chapter 52------------------------------------------------------------------------

Besides Luke whining Alex decided for her and Jordan to have a girls night tonight. She felt like they had barely had any time together anymore. Alex had Luke and Kate and now Collin. And Jordan had max but they promised they would still make time for each other.

"what's up hoe!" Jordan yelled as she walked into the pizza joint. Many heads turned her way but she ignored them.

"hey whore" Alex replied easily.

Multiple people gave them odd looks but neither noticed.

"how have you been?" Alex asked as she stood to give Jordan a hug.

"good" Jordan sighed and smiled happily.

"Sooo how are you and Max?"

Alex watched as two twin circles of pink appeared on Jordan's cheeks.

"we're doing great. He found a job here and it seems like everything is just finally falling into place."

"thats great Jo." Alex said smiling tenderly.

They easily lapsed into conversation and laughs. It was a great lunch and Alex realized how much they'd missed each other. Everything was going great until the door dinged showing Someone had just walked in. Alex's head automatically turned to look at the door. Her heart jerked and her stomach constricted. There stood Lee in the doorway.

Alex felt the regular nausea at seeing him rise up.

"are you ok?"

"yea" Alex nodded. She was ok. The pain and the sickness was still there but it wasn't as bad as before. It was dulled down to a manageable level.

"Alex? Really?" Jordan asked looking concerned.

"yea... Really"

Lee was looking right at her. She could feel the hole his eyes was burning in the side of her head.

"can we go though?"

"yea sure you go ahead and I'll pay and meet you outside."

Alex nodded and scurried to the front of the restaurant.

"Lexi?"

Alex stopped in her tracks and her whole body froze.

"I mean... Alex."

"yes?"

"you're never going to talk to me again are you?"

"I'm talking to you now lee."

"you know what I mean. Like we used to."

"no. I'm never going to talk to you like I trust you again. You threw away that when you decided to through me away"

"you've got to get over that one day."

"one day I will!" she said whirling around on him.

"but I'm sorry if the fact you broke another human being doesnt eat at you at night. And it should! You have no heart Lee. You treated me like dirt and yet you act like you did no wrong, you act like everything was fine when it wasnt! Everyone looked at you and thought you were perfect. And I was the crazy ex girlfriend that couldn't get over you. They don't know my side of the story. They don't know what you did to me."

"what do you want from me?!"

"I wanted the one thing you could never give me.... I wanted you. But now I've finally realized that I deserve so much better. I am SO disappointed in you"

And with that Alex turned and walked away.

"Holy crap that was awesome!"

Jordan squealed.

"awesome?"

"I've never seen you blow up like that!"

"what? Sure you have. You've seen me lose my temper plenty."

"yea but not like that. And I'm so glad you finally let that jerk have it."

"I feel better"

"you should! You've been holding that in for to long."

Alex didn't respond just kept walking toward her car.

"do you still love him?"

Alex ground her teeth.

" I think there will always be a place in my heart that loves him but I'm not going to listen to it anymore. I've got an amazing man that I've fallen in love with that loves me back. And i'm not going to lose him."

Jordan smiled.

"good! I like Luke better anyway"

"me too" Alex sighed
