Chapter 61------------------------------------------------------------------------they had eaten breakfast and stayed in most of the day until Luke had driven them back to Alex's house. The boys said their goodbyes and the sisters settled in for a night on their own.

"is it just me or is it weird without them here?" Kate asked.

"it is." Alex laughed.

"I'm so used to them being around the house feels......"

"empty" Kate finished.

"exactly"

"what should we do?"

"we should talk about you and Collin."

"wh- no Alex"

"what? Why?"

"because it's awkward."

"it is not! I'm your sister"

"ugh" Kate groaned flopping back on Alex's bed.

"come on Kate."

"ugh ok fine. What do you want to know?"

"you love him?"

Kate nodded shyly.

" have you um talked about.... Well you know"

"Alex!"

"what?! It's an appropriate question!"

"not from my sister!"

"um I believe you asked me if Luke and I had ever had sex in the classroom!"

"ok ok yes we've talked about it"

"and?" Alex asked even though she already knew

"he says he's willing to wait... Till I'm ready."

"you're not close to ready are you?"

"omygosh Alex you're so awkward. And no I'm no where near ready. I kinda want to wait till I'm married."

"have you told him that?"

"no I'm scared. I mean I know he said he'd wait but not that long"

"you'll never know unless you ask"

"and if he says no?"

"I have a pretty good feeling he won't"

Kate sighed.

"what about Luke?"

"what about Luke?" Alex asked looking confused.

"have you two talked about marriage?"

"what? We haven't even known each other a year!"

"you didn't answer my question"

"we've only been dating a few months Kate."

Kate laughed aloud.

"you still didn't answer my question Alex"

"he.... He might have brought it up a few times. But it's crazy right!"

"why is it crazy? I've seen the way you two look at each other."

"it's always like that in the beginning"

"Alex.. Luke is different"

"ugh! I know that! My brain just has trouble accepting it."

" Luke loves you. Don't let him get away just because YOU are scared."

"I could say the same for you and Collin"

Kate sighed.

"touché"

"we have some pretty great guys"

"that we do sis. Have you talked to Jordan?"

" I texted her to tell her we are back."

"what's she up too?"

"getting everything planned for the wedding."

"are you singing at it?"

"ugh crap yes. I'm supposed to be looking up songs."

"when Is the wedding again?"

"the 24th I think."

"Alex that's this coming weekend"

"what?! Are you- ugh you've got to be kidding me"

Kate laughed and yawned.

"I think I'm going to head to bed."

"alright night love you. I'm gonna look up wedding songs."

"mmmk night love you too. See you in the morning."

Alex grabbed her laptop and pulled up google homepage.

"this is gonna be a long night"
