After they all piled into the cab Alex explained the things that had happened with Jordan.

"I'm sorry lass" Collin said sympathetically.

"I'm not" Alex smiled

"she obviously wasn't a true friend. And I don't need any fake friends in my life"

Alex turned to look at Luke to find him looking worried.

"she knows about us"

"she won't say anything" Alex assured him.

"how do you know?"

"because if she does I'll kick her ass" Kate interjected.

Luke pulled her to him and gave her a brotherly hug.

"I have to much on Jordan. She knows better"

Luke nodded but the worried expression on his face didn't fade.

When they pulled up to the bar and grill they got their stories straight before The went in.

If anyone asked Luke was here with Collin and Kate had asked alex to tag Along. After they had gotten in and got settled Alex's stomach started to twist.

"you'll be fine love" Luke said on a whisper.

"what song have you chosen to sing?" Kate asked eagerly. She had always loved watching Alex preform.

"I haven't chosen yet. I'll look through the books when I get back stage."

"Alex?"

"hmm?" Alex murmured still staring at the stage.

"what's on your hand?" Kate asked eyeing the ring.

"wha- oh.. I can't believe I forgot! Luke pro-"

Luke cleared his throat loudly.

"not here lass"

"oh yea" Alex said looking around at all the unfamiliar faces staring at her.

"Kate come to the bathroom with me"

Kate nodded.

"I'll never understand why girls go to the bathroom in packs... Luke come to the bathroom with me" Collin said smiling at Luke.

"not even close" Luke chuckled

"AHHHH" Kate yelled jumping around the small bathroom.

"shhhh" Alex said laughing

"I can't believe you're engaged!! AAAHHH"

"stop yelling you crazy"

" ok ok" Kate said still slightly bouncing

Alex smiled feeling overwhelmingly happy.

"ok I'm going back stage I'll see you after."

"ok good luck Alex you'll be great"

Alex went back to the table long enough to grab her guitar case and wink at Luke. She strode backstage and introduced herself to the owner as her gave her a song book to look through.

She picked out two that she liked and was told she could borrow one or the bars electric guitars for the first one.

Alex got up and stage and shielded her eyes to the bright lights until they were adjusted. She sent Luke a wicked grin and flung her hair down in a head banging motion strumming the electric guitar.
