After another meal fit for an army Alex and luke joined his parents in the living room. Kate and Collin had went on a walk to the nation park that was up the road.

"so mum.. Da... The way Alex and I met isn't really..... Normal"

" oh sweet Mary you're not a call girl are you dearie?"

Alex literally choked on air. She actually inhaled to much air and got choked.

"what?! No mum she's not a prostitute. She's my student"

"your student?" tom said eying the couple.

" couldn't that get you in trouble lucas?"

"yes sir"

"and you're still willing to risk it? Your job and reputation?" his mother asked

"yes ma'am"

Alex chewed her nails nervously until his mother gave a pointed look to her hand.

"you really love her dont you ya dickbrain?"

All of them whipped their head in the doorway to the living room. There stood a beautiful taller brunette with blood red lips and twinkling green eyes. Alex now seen the resemblance she'd missed that night in the club. You could definately tell they were related.

" Macy! It's about time! " luke said standing to hug the girl. She returned the hug eagerly and sent a warm smile to Alex and her parents.

"answer the question Lucas. Do you love her?" his father asked.

"I just flew her thousands of miles to meet with my crazy family. Of course I love her."

Alex felt tears spring to her eyes but she pushed them down. She really did have to perfect man.

"if you love her and she loves you then who are we to stand in your way. She's a lovely girl and I for one am happy you picked so well"

"thank you mum. Da?"

"I agree with your mother. As always." tom said smiling fondly at his wife.

"and I need to have a girl talk with her before I can make a final decision" said Macy smiling At her.

"but I do have a question. What about your job? And your school work?"

"I only have two more months left of college and then we can be together."

"that's good enough for me. I just want my son to be happy"

"and she makes me happy"

"why would you ever want to leave here?" Alex said a while later when they were alone.

" something was pulling me toward the states. Something I needed to see or do. Or someone I needed to meet. Looking back now I think it was you pulling me"

"you would've been fine without me."

"fine? Yes. But I have never ever been thus happy! And that has everything to do with you."

Alex sighed and leaned into him.
