Chapter 17 (the drunk shouldn't dance)

Chapter 17------------------------------The three girls left Alex's apartment at 9 o'clock that night. Kristen had thought ahead for everyone and gotten fake IDs. Jordan was over joyed and very excited. Alex looked doubtful and was a nervous wreck by the time they got to the door of the first bar. They got through the door without any problems but Alex doubted that had anything to do with their IDs and more to do with their outfits. Kristen had insisted on dressing everyone and had did a damn good job. She herself was wearing a sparkly white halter dress with tall white heels. She paired it with a hot pink sash that read 'Bride to be'. For Jordan she had chosen a zebra striped mini dress with black heels. Finally Alex was wearing a black skirt that came to about mid thigh, a white shirt with a black and red plaid tie and her knee high converse with plaid laces. She had tried getting out of the wearing the tie because she said she felt like a school girl. That argument had just made the other two girls laugh and their decision to make her wear the tie more firm. The girls went to find a table near the stage and most likely sign up for karaoke. Alex went straight for the bar. There was a handsome blonde haired man behind the bar that came to take her order.

"jeager bomb please"

He nodded his head as she paid him and quickly set to work on her drink.

After grabbing it off the surface of the bar she made her way to the table with Jordan and Kristen.

"I love this place" Jordan said winking over her shoulder at a table of guys checking her out.

Kristen laughed and swatted Jordan's arm.

"they just motioned for us! It's our turn come on!"

Alex watched smiling as the girls pranced up on stage and began singing 'i got you babe' by sunny and sher. They got plenty of applause and whistles. They continued to sing as Alex sipped her drink and surveyed the room. She almost choked at the couple she saw in the corner. There sitting in the corner of the bar with a beautiful black haired woman was Luke O'Grady staring back at her. He raised an eye brow at her but alex could see the ghost of a smile lining his lips. Alex just winked and raised her glass in a toast before knocking it back. She quickly turned away before catching his reaction to hide her face at the taste of the alcohol. She visibly shook her head and peeked back in his direction. He had his face bent toward his date whispering something in her ear causing her to laugh loudly. For some reason Alex felt a dull pain in her chest and an emptiness in her stomach. She frowned and rubbed a hand over her chest while holding her other hand up for a waitress. Suddenly she felt the need for another drink.------------------------two hours and about ten drinks later Alex was feeling great. Jordan and Kristen hadn't drank anything. Instead finding it amusing to make fun of Alex.

"bring me two piña coladas I want one for each hand!" Alex sang loudly while the girls set across from her leaning on each other from laughing so hard.

"what's so funny?!" Alex slurred giggling

"come on big drinker I think it's time to go home"

"Aw can I dance just one more itty bitty time?" Alex asked while poking out her bottom lip.

"one more dance" Jordan said holding up her pointer finger.

"yay!" Alex clapped her hands together and stumbled out on the dance floor just as the song 'cruise' by Florida georgia line came blaring through the speakers.

"Woo!" Alex exclaimed throwing her hands above her head and swinging her hips. She giggled when she tripped backwards almost falling but was steadied by two strong hands resting on her hips. Without caring she backed up closer to the hands and started dancing against him. The hands tightened on her hips as if trying to stop her from moving. After the song was over she turned hoping to catch a glimpse of her dance partner but he had let her go and quickly turned making his way through the crowd away from her.

"aww" she said with a pout as Jordan and Kristen found her and grabbed her arms roughly with excited looks on both of their faces.

"owwww dat

Huwts" Alex said in a baby voice.

"why didn't you tell us he was here?!" Jordan demanded

"did you kiss?!" Kristen yelled at the same time.

"huh? what? Who?" Alex said looking around confused.

They girls both looked at each other with wide eyes. And Jordan stepped up laying a hand on her arm.

"Alex.. You were dancing with Mr. O'Grady."---------------------------------
