Chapter 19 (laughs lunch and lee)

Chapter 19-------------------------------The rest of the weekend went off without a hitch. They stayed in watching movies and stuffing their face mostly. Which was a blast. But Sunday Kristen had to leave to go back and help putting the finishing touches on the wedding. Which was only this Friday. They had their tearful goodbyes and couldn't wait to see each other in five days. Today was Monday and Alex had just finished her first class. She was debating on skipping Mr. O'Grady's class but finally decided against it. She needed the tutoring. To her surprise he barely acknowledged her at all today. No clumsy remarks or joking winks. He for lack of word ignored her the whole hour. When the time came for class to be over she was more than happy to get out of there. She was almost to the door when a he cleared his throat.

"Ms. Rogers I need you to stay back for a second."

"damn it" she muttered and went to sit at a desk in the front row. After all the students were gone he turned to face her with a pained expression.

"I think we need to talk about Friday night lass"

"I don't know what you're talking"

"don't try that. The way your girlies were staring at me I'd be surprised they didn't know my pants size. They told you who you were dancing with"

"so what? We were just dancing no big deal"

" no see that's the problem. I didn't mean for us to be dancing but you kept wiggling against me" he said making a weird wiggling motion with his hands.

" if you didn't mean for us to be dancing then why did you come on to the dance floor"

He gave her a flat look.

"because I seen one of my students drunk off her arse and rubbing up against some 40 year old inching his hand up her skirt" he snapped.

Alex was a little taken back. She didn't remember any of that. But then again she was pretty drunk. As if reading her thoughts he tore into her again.

"and that reminds me why the hell were you drunk?! How did you even get your drink?"

Alex shrugged her shoulders getting Annoyed.

"fake ID" she replied simply.

"do you know what could happen in bars like that?! When underage girls get drunk and start rubbing on some random man"

" I was with my friends! Like you said they were watching me. I was fine. There was no need for you to leave your date and come to the rescue"

He looked slightly confused at first then let out a full bellied laugh. The sound was so sudden Alex jumped.

"what's funny?" she demanded.

" I didn't have a date last night lass"

" oh I'm sorry. Your sick Irish sex toy"

He let loose a visible shiver of disgust and shook his head firmly.

" that was my sister, but thank you for making me have awful images"

Alex sat there quiet dumbfounded for a minute.. Why did she even bring up the date? Now she sounded like a jealous teenager.

"how old are you anyway?" he said interrupting her thoughts.

"I'll be nineteen in.... Shit.. Tomorrow"

"forgot your own birthday?"

"I've been busy" she said crossing her arms.

" ah well anyway just try to be more careful when you go out. Bad things can happen"

"yes daddy"

She said sarcastically.

"that's more like it" he said with a wink.

"ewww you're gross"

He laughed.

"so I heard English lit. was canceled?"

"yup" she said popping the p.

" so would you like to go ahead and start tutoring or do you want to grab some lunch and meet me here later?"

" or we could go grab some lunch and come back?" Alex suggested

The fuck Alex? Where the hell did that come from?-----------------------------------------------thirty minutes later Luke and Alex were in McDonalds playing 20 questions and finishing off their fries.

"any pets?"

"one. His name is Rambo he's a German Shepard."

"smart dogs"

Alex nodded.

"what about you? Any animals?"

" I have a Dalmatian named spot"

Alex snorted.

"how creative of you."

"why thank you" he responded with a wink. Alex rolled her eyes.

"so you know some would look at this as inappropriate" Alex said peeking at him through her lashes.

He nodded.

"it is. I shouldn't be here but hey I was hungry and you're not being hostile so I decided to take advantage of the situation."

"uh huh " Alex said laughing. She turned toward the door just in time to see lee walk in with the tall redhead from the club trailing behind him.
